Pour on tap, clear golden pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of grass, straw, biscuit, bread into a bit of yeast, slight honey note into a bit of grainy, husky. Taste was a mix of grass, straw, grain into a bit of bread, dough, hints of slight honey, finishing spicy, fairly dry, slightly bitter. Decent.

Keg at taps in Manchester. Clear yellow, short lived head. Sweetcorn. Dryer than most pilsner, taste is much the same though. Prickly and thin.

Draft at Paulaner Frankfurt. Pours crystal clear yellow-gold with a foamy white head. Crispy biscuits and cereal in the nose, some hay. Light sweet flavor with pleasant biscuity sugars, light metallic bite, hay, husk. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty clean and crisp to finish, simple dry cereal, bitter grains and dry hay. Solid pils.

Feinherber Geruch. Der Antrunk ist süßlich-flach. Im Hauptteil hopfig-süßlich. Zum Nachgeschmack hin süßlich mit leichter Herbe. Interessant süßliches und leicht herbes Pils. 8/12/7/8

"a little surprised to 300+ pilsners ahead of this one...not that it’s anything special, but i liked it more than several far above it in the rankings. crisp and clean aroma and flavor, with a hint of fruity sweetness on top of the usual suspects that make it a little nicer. pretty tame, but not bad."

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a fair head and bit of lacing. Aroma of citrus, malt sweetness and grass. Taste of malt sweetness, citrus and grain. Mild bitterness and aclean finish. Light nody, crisp and refreshing. Nice beer for the style.

Alengrin (3875) - BELGIUM - AUG 27, 2014
Tasted from tap, a clean, crisp, malty Pilsener with a pure taste, malt sweetness evolving into a soft, floral hop bitterness, aromatic, as is typical for a Southern German Pilsener. Though one of the less interesting Paulaners, this is still a typical and very well-made example of its particular style.

01.08.2014, tap @ Leopold’s (Paulaner Keller), Hamburg:
Nice slightly fizzy mediumlasting head, light straw colored. Aroma is slightly dry and neutral, light malts, hay, paper, cereal, weeds. Taste is slightly harsh, light malts, paper, hay, weeds, grass, cereal. Medium bitterness, slightly dry harsh mouthfeel. So boring.
