3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice crisp flavor with a subtle, but not very exciting malt flavor. A good pilsener, but not the best by far.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Like most imported pilseners, a little skunked. It’s the hoppiest thing I could find in the corner beer store in this crappy town. Not really impressive, but I don’t suppose a pilsener should be. Just something to drink with food I guess, since it doesn’t have a whole lot of flavor. A little maltiness, and some hop presence. I really wanted to like this beer but I just couldn’t bring myself to. Still have lots of respect for Paulaner though, which continues to make some great beers despite their huge size.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very dry pils. Typical golden color and flowery bouquet. I didn’t enjoy this as much as I thought I would.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Easily one of the best pilseners that I’ve ever had. Almost tastes like an alt. Grainy, nutty, bready aroma. Webby, granular head. Very balanced between sweet and bitter, with mouthy palate and good carbonation. I usually work light to dark in my samplings, but I actually went the other way round this time (porter > alt > pilsenr) and this held up really well. Kudos.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured with a small head that faded quickly. Light yellow in color, slightly spicy aroma. It had a nice blend of spices and hops with a nice dry finish. A very good session beer in hot weather.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Vegetal, herbal and lightly sweet aroma. Typical golden pilsner color with a nice, refreshing amount of effervescence. Flavor profile is lightly malty but more emphasis is placed on the dry, spicy, crisp hoppy flavors, which start around the middle and dominate the rest of the way. Very clean, uncomplicated.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Finely tuned hoparoma - bitter at first but flowery later on. Round taste but a bit too light body.
