3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Yeoman’s Road Pub in Tampa. Not a huge fan of this style, but this one, though not very hoppy, is highly drinkable and a perfect offering for those trying to wean friends of Bud and Coors.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. A light yellow color with a million rising bubbles in this footed pilsner glass. The lush foamy white head looks inviting. A musty aroma. The clean and crisp flavors are on point with the style.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. I doubt another sample of it would garner my high rating, but I found it to have a billowing head with a wonderful floral hop smell plus a malt base whcih was far more substantial and developed than I had anticipated, given their somewhat thin Helles. Great.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A surprisingly average beer from Paulaner. Too sweet for a great Pils. Needs more Hop bitterness.

Malty sweet aroma, grainy malty flavor. Oxidized cardboard flavor and aroma. Slightly sweet. Watery mouthfeel.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 04.21.04. Pour is pale yellow, like Bud, with a medium but fading white head, lasting as a trace and amply lacing. Aromas of French bread, light citrusy hops, clean and totally unskunked. Hop bitterness presents itself immediately in this brew, although not drastic. There is noticible, bready sweetness from front to back. Finish is crisp and dry, but surprisingly persistent. A very nice example of a German pilsner, one I'll be glad to try again.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light clean color with a big bountiful head. Pale citrus hoppy aroma. Dry hoppy initial taste with a crisp somewhat clean flavor. Dry and a little bitter in the aftertaste. A decent Pils.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: JUL 25, 2005 Bottle
Crisp hoppy, almost citron and slightly yeasty aroma. Urine yellow color. Steady white head, lace. Typical hoppy pilsener taste, dry, firm but nothing special. (5/274/2/9 2.2)
Pale yellow, creamy white head. Lemony, dish-cleaner nose. Same crisp lemon also dominates flavor. Decently hopped, light pils. (5/2/6/2/9 2.4)

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Highly carbonated and very dry. Spicy hops. The bottle I sampled was showing its age - slight sour and cardboard. Would like to get a fresher sample.
