IlanMan (816), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Jan 13, 2008 Thick body with fruit and slight wine like aroma. Alcohol taste is evident but not distasteful. I’d buy this beer again but wouldn’t go out of my way to do so. darkninja67 (40), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Jan 13, 2008 12oz bottle (thanks Thermo1223)- pours a nice amber color with a quickly disappearing head. Very clear looking brew. Tastes of honey and caramel noted with the alcohol well hidden at 7.9%. Fairly rich taste and heavy but enjoyable and easy to drink. My first Paulaner Doppelbock and a very good one.
