3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2013 50cl bottle(s) - Poors a less than inspiring translucent red-brown with modest beige head. Nice light roast and caramel, light-medium mouthfeel, distinct notes of alcholic burn and slight ethanolic fumes = not brewed down to perfection imho. Not unbalanced, drinkable, but disinterested in brewing anything more tasty than a traditional (60s70s80s80s) Doppelbock for the traditional palate.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice dark copper color with a small tannish head. Has a strong malty taste, pretty smooth. Don’t think I could drink to many of these with its 8% alcohol content...not a bad thing! :)

Bottle. Stem glass. Dark cooper with two finger white head, which dissapears quickly. Good lacing. Heavt malty aroma, bread, caramel, dark fruits, pear, honey and alcohol, some yeasty notes. The taste is very similar. Medium sweet, light bitterness, noticable booze, warming sensations. Medium body, average carbonation, oily texture.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice grainy, bready aroma. Reddish brown color with an off-white head that dissipated fairly quickly, Very nice malty taste with chocolate overtones and just enough hopping to reduce the sweetness. Nice medium body with a very smooth finish. Number one example of the style in BJCP Guidelines.
