COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Paulaner Salvator with its strong, typically malty taste is the original Paulaner. The bottom-fermented Doppelbock-Bier unites the finest hops and dark barley malt. The Paulaner monks served Salvator as a replacement for food at Lent. Their most famous brewer was Brother Barnabas, who was the head of the Paulaner monastery brewery starting from 1773. Its original recipe is today almost the same as it was in Barnabas' time. In order to protect the original recipe, Paulaner had the trade mark "Salvator" patented in 1896.

Reddish-brown with pinkish hue. Apple sauce aroma with caramel and anise. Head was not substantial. Great mouthfeel and flavor, though difficult to pinpoint. Broad palate - sweet, tart , full, a touch bitter, fruity. Some minty notes, with plenty of malt and fruit. Finish is sweet, but hops present in sufficient quantities to temper this nicely.

Buena doppelbock. Muy bebible.

Piana średnio obfita, głównie średnio pęcherzykowa, raczej nietrwała, kolor lekko beżowy. Barwa piwa rubinowa, klarowna. Koronka uboga. Dominuje aromat palonego słodu, odrobina karmelu. W smaku gorzkie, mocno palone, jest jakaś słodycz gdzieś z tyłu, którą ciężko mi zdefiniować. Goryczka ściągająca, lekko zalegająca. Na języku szerokie, wysycenie średnie. Lekko czuć alkohol.

pours a perfectly clear light brown colour with a white head. light malty aroma but not very prominent. Very malty taste, hint of liquorice. very rich. Not as heavy as I was expecting and SO easy to drink!! Fantastic beer

330ml bottle at home in a tulip glass. The aroma was toffee, apple and sugary sweetness. The flavour is sweet malt and yet lightly sour at the same time. I found an oaky note not sure if this beer ever saw oak but it tasted that way. Top drawer.

Not ordinary doppelbock! In tulip glass, reddish brown colour, clear, Wonderfull strong palate. Possible to drink everyday, which is not the characteristic of that kind of beer. Absolutely delicous.

Pours a brown colour, taste is malty, quite sweet and oily on the palate, good, but the reputation is bigger than the beer

Pours a caramel amber with a head that instantly disappears. Only knock to the aroma is it could be a little stronger: caramel, roasty, floral, dough, super light soy sauce. Palate is wonderful with just a little stickiness in the corner of the mouth. Difficult to stop at just one!
