This is a doppel that I truly enjoy drinking and this is one of my favorite beers thanks to my BF (thedm) who introduced me to fine beers and what good beers are all about almost 3 years ago!To me it has a superb taste and goes down very smooth and easy.

Chocolate brown in color with a rich lacey head - the aroma of bread, the flavor of raisins and molasses, a very satisfying brew. Go out and buy some!

This beer offers a rich taste, rich buzz, and if being drank in a group, a great clanking of the mugs. Great with Greek and middle eastern foods.

WOW i love this beer. I am partial to brown beers, but this one I could drink anytime anywhere for any reason! Love this beer, its especially great at the Paulaner Restaurant because of the amazing Bavarian style with the Oktoberfest touch. Awesome, if your in southwest germany go there!! Love this stuff, thinking about bringing a case back to US when I come back!

UPDATED: APR 18, 2011 Very characteristic doppelbock alcoholic malt bomb. Pretty intense, complex caramel malt flavor, definitely a beer to savor and, most likely, not one overindulge in.
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 AWMiller (512) - Mansfield, Texas, USA - SEP 22, 2011
Definitely a brew going into my BHOF (Beer Hall of Fame)!! This brew pours a rich dark red body that sports a thick foamy head that lends well with the brew for quite a while. Scents of strong malt, coffee (maybe a rich espresso) followed with rich malty flavors blended with hints of orange or cloves with very little presence of the taste of alcohol. It has a nice thick feel to it.
4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 DerBiermeister (586) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - MAY 28, 2008
I love this beer. My wife says it tastes like soy sauce, and it is May and it says it’s a seasonal. I wonder if it tastes different because of this. Nonetheless, with sushi or without, this beer is great. Does taste salty, though...
Recommendation: drink this beer at room temperature (not fully cold anyway). Taste it!
