T: nice malt flavour, some spices, alcohol,
M: roud, full body
D: some alcohol, nice winter sipping beer.

Oct 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours brown/red with little head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavor is sweet with dark fruits and malt throughout. Little hop in the finish.

Oct 12, 2008 avoided for reasons i cannot explain....too bad, this is a nice doppel raisiny and sticky sweet it is full of malt and has an interesting full aroma as well. spicy (and yes burnt ryan) and true to form with a light yeasty and pleasant mouthfeel. i would encourage all to try this one. alcohol nicely recessed. i should lower several doppel scores in my profile as this is clearly a superior brew.

Oct 11, 2008 Pours red-orange, unfiltered and bubbly with little head.
Sweet aroma, sweet and spicy flavor with plenty of malt and bread flavor. Distinctive flavor, but not overpowering like a few other dopplebocks.
