COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Paulaner Salvator with its strong, typically malty taste is the original Paulaner. The bottom-fermented Doppelbock-Bier unites the finest hops and dark barley malt. The Paulaner monks served Salvator as a replacement for food at Lent. Their most famous brewer was Brother Barnabas, who was the head of the Paulaner monastery brewery starting from 1773. Its original recipe is today almost the same as it was in Barnabas' time. In order to protect the original recipe, Paulaner had the trade mark "Salvator" patented in 1896.

Cor caramelo, espuma persistente, turva. Aroma forte de banana, caramelo e malte. Gosto adocicado no começo, caramelo, banana, malte forte, lúpulo no final com leve amargor. Encorpada com final seco. Excelente doppelbock.

Hazy red copper, minimal orange head. Roasted malts, cereals, caramel, burnt honey. Fulfilling caramelized malts, dry passito with alcohol, burnt caramel, light toffee. Quite complex, yet well balanced.

Nose is banana, malt, slight lactose, slight butter. Taste is caramel, leading to brown sugar and malt, dark fruits, slight mint, bread, touch of honey, dry, bready oak finish. Mouthfeel is a little thin. I don’t really get German beers, this is nice, but seems to lack something in the finish and mouthfeel.

Bottiglia, colore ambrato carico con un cappello di schiuma fine e persistente, l’aroma ha caramello e malto, al palato uguale, l’alcool non da mai fastidio e la birra scende giù facilmente, niente male

Deep hazy orangeish brown, fairly dark, with a creamy tan head. It has strong touch od alcohol with malty finish. Medium bodied and smooth.

0.5L bottle. Pours clear red with a fluffy, off-white head that lingers. Some different aromas on this: caramel, butterscotch, overripe banana, Medium sweetness at beginning that grows into the middle flavor profile. Flavors of cough drop, bready malt, vanilla. Finishes with fairly pronounced roasted malt bitterness to balance of the sweetnes, leaving cloying sugars. Full body with average carbonation and a thick mouthfeel. Overall, a tasty brew! Interesting aroma profile, and nice complexity to flavors as well.

Grande birra, nella sua semplicità con il.lievito a farla da padrone decisamente. E va bene così

In short: Sweet strong beer. Aroma is to soft malts, taste is sweet-caramel, thick aftertaste. Is like a drinkable version of a dubbel.

Bottle at home. Pours a deep, dark amber colour with a medium, beige, creamy head. Sweet aroma of chocolate, dried fruit, wood and apples. The flavour follows up with more sweet malt, milk chocolate, leather and some roastedness. Has a rich and slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A well-balanced, sweet and delicious classic.

Aroma: Liquid malt, special: rubber glove. Appearance: Brown/Amber/caramel, decent foam. Taste: Alcohol can be felt quite noticeably, mellow, average carbonation, very malty, some caramel and dry wood flavors.
