3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Trinkgut in Kleve. The beer has a yellow to golden color and a nice and steady white head, with a lot of bubbles. The aroma has tones of wheat, grass, bananas and a hint of citrus. The taste is malty, light sweet but overal watery. The finish is short and light bitter. Nothing special this weizen, just like a standard pilsner.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Much wheat and citrus scent. The first thing that strikes me the taste is metal, followed by wheat, grass and light hops. Good bitterness which fills the upper part of the mouth of a weak moment. But I still think that this beer has something special for me that makes me like it. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Golden colour, white head. Some wheat on the nose, with a faint hint of banana. Taste is rather bitter. The Hefeweizen is better.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml Bottle at Paulanergarten, Bremen, Germany (€4.20):
Good balance of wheat, banana & cloves with bubblegum & touches of yeast. Some sweetness appears with grassy notes & citrus too.
Clear amber with a lot of bubbles. The heas is a good sized, foamy white one with good retention over the opening minutes & lots of lacing too.
Citrus with cloves & wheat initially, some banana & bubblegum come next with touches of orange. I got hints of spice & there was a nondescript mix of fruits towards the end.
Smooth & light-medium bodied, strong carbonation with some added fizz and a good balance throughout. Lively & one that proved an easy one to drink.
Both times I’ve had this beer I’ve found it quite enjoyable, but much like the majority of kristalweizen’s that I’ve tried I’d probably go with the hefeweizen version if it was available, the only reason I didn’t in this case was because of how easy the hefe is to get a hold on in the UK but I’ve yet to come across the kristalweizen version at home.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Lots of wheat, banana, honey, peppery finish. Certainly not the best Paulaner brew, quite sweet yet fairly refreshing.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Gylden brun med lavt hvitt skum. Hvete, lett banan og krydder. Søt perlende start av brunt sukker og sitrus som fort forsvinner før hvete, krydersmaken overtar. Mye kullsyre

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
50 cl. bottle from SB poured in to a Weizen. Clear, golden colour with a huge, slowly collapsing, white head. Sweet aroma with wheat malts, fruits, spices, light banana, some grasses. Taste is light sweet. Medium body with a lively carbonation. Finishes dry and fruity with wheat and pale malts. Rather bitter for a German Weizen.
