Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a blond and full-sized foamy head. Yeasty and moderately sweet malty aroma with discreet citrus-fruity and grainy notes, accompanied by slightly herbal and floral hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light bodied with a lively carbonation. Yeasty, slightly grainy and fruity taste; rather dry, mildly sweet and bitter finish with a little fizz. Still a decent and refreshing Zwickel. 19.XII.09 Quack-Duck (3358), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany

Aromas of earthy honeycomb, cereal, and lemon. Tastes of lightly tart citrus, grain and dry grass, with hints of berries. Light-medium body is almost creamy smooth, has some tongue-tingle from hops, and finishes dryish. Some spotty suds of lace. Thanks again to Allen! Bov (5514), Bienne, Switzerland

The nose is mainly of hops, gooseberries, lemon and orange. Good bitterness in the taste which is balanced by some sweetness. Surprisingly full bodied for a pale lager with 4.5 ABV. Not much lacework. Wonderful hop profile. Yeast, oranges, candy and lemon peel showing up. Hoppy finish with hints of orange, grapefruit and lemon peel. A great swiss beer. Flawless, perfectly balanced and extremely enjoyable. I’m impressed. Additional comment: Definetely a very good brew. Not a lager.
