2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 77ships (2162) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JAN 13, 2013
2007 Vintage. 25 cl. bottle @ Kulminator. Traditional Old Brown according to the bottle. I must say in advance that although according to the menu this beer is from 2007 – if I were to guess, I would give it at least 15 and not 5 years. Pours a clear reddish copper with a disappearing, small white head, vintage appearance. Smell has that oxidized, sweet iron thing going on, was this beer previously a sweetened one? It sure seems like that, also getting watery herbs, cough syrup, light old fruitiness. Taste is all oxidized, iron, tad metallic, old sweeteners flourished but light, syrup but overall this is watery, watery herbs, tad watery cherry, light bitterness in the back. Watery & oxidized body. They probably shouldn’t be blamed due to the age, a traditional Old Brown should be able to handle age but this was most likely a pasteurized & sweetened commercial beer previously. Not to many heavy hitters so far from Leroy it seems.

You know, I really don’t appreciate being called a narc. And that poncho is filthy! Let me dry-clean it for you.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 colinize (314) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 3, 2012
If you've never had a sour, this might be a good intro. If you have, look somewhere else. Flavors are all muddled and nothing really stands out. Little aroma. No tartness either.
