Draft, Churchkey. Deep brown pour. Very sweet aroma that isn’t unpleasant, loads of brown sugar and toffee. This has a strong sugary hit, mostly syrupy and loaded with more brown sugar upon sipping. I didn’t pick up the sour much until I took a larger gulp, where some tart vinous grapey flavors peeked out. Way too sugary without much to balance itou t.

Pouring at Night of the Funk on the Friday night of Belgian Beer Fest in Boston. Pours a just hazed ruby brown with a thin beige head. Sweet malt, wood, and faint acid and some roast on the nose. Chocolate and chewy roast. Super sweet, soda flavors and some faint bitterness. Too sweet overall, chewy caramel with more sweetness on the finish. Has some potential, but no follow through. On the plus side we got to go LEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRROOOOOOOOOY PAAAAAAAAUUUUUUULLLUUUUUUUUUUS!!!

Sweet and slightly sour flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly toast-malty taste with a mildly sour-fruity and slightly fusty woody touch; sweet and shy sour-fruity finish with a mildly tart aftertaste. 02.XI.10

Pours a reddish brown clear ale, withe a fine laced lightbrown head. Some yeasty basement aromas. At first the typical sour taste, followed by sweetness and hints of oak. A dry, little sweet and mostly dusty aftertaste, hard to describe. Not a very good example of the style if you ask me.
