Bottle @ <a href=http://ratebeer.com/events-detail.asp?eventID target=_new> Zythos Bier Festival 2008, Sint Niklaas, Belgium. Clear medium brown color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, berry - sour. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and sour with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (020308)

A light amber beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet dusty, while the flavor is sweet and with primary notes of straw. It is missing acidity for the style - it seems a bit old.

(Bottle 25 cl) Dark amber coloured with a red glow and a small off-white head. Slight acidic nose but overall very malt accentuated - some roasted malt - with a small lingering tartness. This is much softer and sweeter than what I usually associate witrh a Flemish sour. Closer to an Abbey Dubbel actually, although without the body, without the power. But a very nice beer indeed. 200299

ZBF2008: From bottle. Pours golden hazzlenut brown with a lacing white head. Light spiced, slight acidic fruity and a mild roasted note. Flavour is light citric/acidic. Mild caramel and fruity. Ends lingering fruity.

Bottled. Dark amber. Vingegary nose. Flowery and yeasty with clean mouthfeel and light body. Pleasant up front, but the flavour is short, and the finish non-existant.

Bottle at ZBF 2010. Hazy orange brown coloured with a small off white head. Sweet aroma of caramel with notes of red wine. Sweet flavour of caramel and cane sugar with notes of hops and wine. Hoppy finish.

Bottle at ZBF08. Slightly sour aroma. Clear nice dark brown colour. Nice stable creamy light brown head. Yoghurt acidity. A little malt. Dry finish after the sweetness, a bit aspartamish. Decent.

Deep amber with red glimts and tiny off white glimts. Aroma was sweet and had roasted malt, berries and mild sourness. Flavour was initially sweet but came out sourish. Found roasted malt and berries as well.
