4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
33 cl, best before 14 L H? Mostly clear, orange-amber with a 4-finger head. Nice creamy lacing. Aroma is of a spicy fruit dessert cake. Flavor is earthy-spiced caramel nut cake with slight rum. Excellent cinnamon bark and vanilla aftertaste is a bit unique and almost suggests cumin at times. Palate is nearly medium, syrupy and somehow drying at the same time. Definite dessert beer with a malt slant, but there is a great balance on the sweetness from a lot of different angles on this one. Only complaint is a bit too much carbonation makes it fizz up on the finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle - poured dark brown/copper with a caramel head. Lots of fruit, yeast and spicing in the aroma. Caramel, brown sugar, bread, loads of sweet malt. Flavour is similarly yeasty with the same dominate notes of dark fruit and spice and malt. Light alcohol in the middle toward finish, but in no way overbearing. Warming. This beer is very prevalent around Brussels.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
We’re all on kWAK!!! This is one of the best Belgian’s for the money one can buy in the US. All malt and complex yeasty flavors with an abv that is hidden well. This tastes like a Belgian session beer but the session would be short. We would all be horizontal instead of all on Kwak!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a dark amber with light caramel colored head. Dark fruit, bread, brown sugar, caramel, and alcohol. Pretty standard belgian, uninteresting, and the alcohol comes through too much. Its not a bad beer, its just not very good for the style.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Brew pours amber with a decent head that slowly recedes to a fine canopy and a thin ring. Rich aromas of fruitcake. Medium full nectar with good carbonation. A rich and malty personality with just a mild sweetness factor. Quite complex with nuances of cherry, plumb, wood, cakebatter, kiwi, and a hint of spice. The finish is long with a mild sweetness that lingers and only mildy bittered. This brew is generous.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Nice overall, but too sweet and not enough depth for a higher rating. There are too many other Belgian strong ales (Delirium Tremens, for example) that are much better than this one.
