Je la considère comme la meilleure bière de belgique. Goût prononcé de céréale et de houblon. Bière de caractère.

What began really exciting, turned out to be a big disappointment. The presentation in the special glass is great, but from here it goes downhill. Though pretty, the glass blocks out most of the aroma, making the beer smell musty. The impressive head disappears too quickly. Malts and caramel sweetness dominate, but not in a particularly impressive manner. Lacks balance as well. This beer is definitely more show and less go.

Bottle. Amber, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate to full, malty and sweetish aroma, caramel - some toffee, light dark fruits, faint alcohol. Body is medium to full, malty – lightly wheaty and sweetish flavor, caramel - some toffee with some dark fruitiness. Finish is average, malty – lightly wheaty and sweetish, some caramel and fruitiness, faint hoppyness and some alcohol. Caramel sweetish strong ale, lacks character - "Don’t believe the hype"

Couleur rose-orangée rappelant le melon d’eau ; odeurs fruitées (cerises, framboises), boisées et caramélisées. En bouche, elle dévoile des notes qui se rapprochent de la scotch ale, avec un côté caramel / cassonade, mais aussi des abricots confits et des cerises. Pas trop sucrée, plutôt mince, elle est relativement accessible en son genre, mais on la sent peut-être un peu surfaite, surestimée. Elle est tout de même savoureuse.

bottle. Amber colour, bubbly head. Aroma of caramel malts, yeast, spice. Taste is mostly sweet malts. Good beer.

pours dark amber, bit cloudy. Medium head with lingering lace. medium carbonation. Malty sweet nose hard to describe the smells present, but certainly malt forward. You can tell its a strong beer, alcohol is eminent. Not my favorite style and that proves true in its offering

330ml bottle. Pours a clear brown/amber color with a finger of white head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, belgian yeast, and some spice. Taste is sweet caramel, some sour fruitiness, banana, clove, and some booze in the finish.

Pours a large off-white frothy head that mostly diminished. Body is clear and sparkling, hue is amber. Aroma contains dark bread, hay, caramel, lemon, dough, cheese, grape, raisin, plum, cassis, brown sugar, cola and cinnamon. Flavor starts off light acidic. This stays all the way, but is mostly replaced by sweet. The finish also is faint bitter. Body is medium, texture creamy and carbonation soft. All in all enjoyable, but not extraordinary.

33cl bottle. Pours beautiful clear amber with great creamy never dissapeating head. Atoma is malty, sweet with notes of caramel and alchool. Flavour is sweet, fruity, plums,alchool can be felt in the end this leadsto a dry bitter end. Very good ale.
