Den har det hele en belgier skal have. Smag, belgisk gær og ikke mindst fylde i spriten.

75cl bottle aged for 15 months in my cellar, best before 10 months later. Dark copper lightly hazy, with a thick frothy head. Caramel and heavy belgian yeast flavours, nail polish remover, aged cheese. Very sweet, very low sourness and bitterness. Average carbonation, oily to sticky. OK if you like sweet yeasty belgian.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Anglia Wine Merchants, drunk at home. Amber, slightly hazy. A fair bit of carbonation, but only a bit of tan head. Candy sugar, caramel, yest, nutmeg and a vague suggestion of applesauce in the aroma. Sweet, yeasty taste with a slightly spicy finish. Alcohol is very well hidden. Medium body, lively carbonation. Very good but not quite the ambrosial experience I remembered. This may have been because I drank it too cold (must adjust fridge settings) and too late (around half past midnight).

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Doesnt look like much. Clear brown and fizzy. Mid to high carbonation. Sweet candy sugar aroma. Warming on the palate. Has a boozy taste to it like cognac or brandy. Sugary sweet at times like a dessert wine. Not bad but not particulary good either.

33o ml bottle that was a gift from my friend Paul. Pours a muddy brown that eventually clears to a light haze with a moderate, fairly creamy tan head that lasted through the first two sips and left little lace. Pleasant aroma of caramel with a bit of spice noted. The flavor is caramel with notable sweetness, dates, and a bit of milk chocolate. Mild spice presumably from the yeast. Very mild bitterness at the finish. Somewhat smooth and silky on the palate. Enjoyable.
