Sweet, but delicious. I really loved the way that it had just the slightest nose of alcohol. That along with some apples and maybe a little banana. Tastes like it smells. I’d drink it more often if I could.

Cloudy red/orange colour with lots of sediment. A long-lasting medium sized off-white head. Nice lacing. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Sweet malt and fruity flavours. Dry and slightly bitter finish. A very nice drop! 330ml brown bottle.

slightly cloudy dark copper colour with a dense off white head. Medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Rich fruity and spicy with a pleasant alcoholic warmth showing through.

33 cl. bottle. Clear coppery amber pour that develops a medium , creamy light tan head that shows some nice sheets of sticky lace. Light fruity aroma over a background of toffee almost hides the alcohol. There’s also a faint earthiness and distant floral hop aroma. Light carbonation and a rich, medium body combine for a smooth mouthfeel with an unexpectedly clean character. Nice spicy bitterness vies for prominence, but the malty sweetness prevails, with the balance appropriate for style. Very nice, easy drinking, and undervalued in my opinion.

Magnificent pour into a tulip glass - effervescence like a Guinness draught of Bodingtons nitrogen pour sans nitrogen! Subsided to a mild head with moderate lacing. Color of a weak bock or mid/heavy IPA - touches of orange...smelled rather bland - a bit of citrus and hint of alcohol. Mouth-feel = a little flat sort of like the aforementioned can of Boddington’s cream ale - a bit of a disappointment in the carbonation department, but made up for in the taste - although this is an ale, it had a definite wheat beer yeast taste to it - fruity and banana like. Very minimal alcohol taste. One interesting (and minimally distracting) side note, the remainder of the head on the beer seemed to coagulate (clot) which was a bit unappetizing yet totally irrelevant to the taste. A good beer. One disclaimer though, my bottle looked totally different than what I see displayed - mine was a corked 75 cl bottle - same name but instead of the picture of some dude (like I see on this page), it has a crest - white top/red bottom) depicting a yard of beer. But, I think it’s the same thing....

Gorgeous amber color with nice sized cream head. Minimal smell. Slightly bitter taste with a hint of spice, but almost sweet. Great beer, will drink again.

bottle. Quite sweet and malty, the alcohol is hardly detectable. A well balanced ale.
