A dark 750ml bottle shaped almost like a wine glass. Pours a beautiful head with a lace that’s just wonderful and stays in place. The head falls a little, but stays pillowy and good looking. The flowery hops are very mellow and the base of the smell for the ale. The smell is very good and has a strawberry undertone that is coupled with other fruity flavors. The taste is slightly watery, but fruitful with a flowery boquet. It has a spiciness to it, it’s met with a sweet candy flavor.

One of my favourite beers...Kwak has a unique character. The color is the classical amber whit a nice amber head. The taste is superb, includes a good caramel and hopy flavour with a lot of spicy things. In the aftertaste you can feel some vanilla and cinnamon. Good one, i like it very much.

0.33 l bottle. Amber brownish bodied, murky with lot of yeasts floating around, with medium creamy ocher head. Unusual, sourish aroma with caramel malts, and yeast, too. Flavor is a different thing, quite bitter, yeasty and rather simple, although may seem spicy. Medium bodied. Finish is sweetish, just a hint of that bitterness is felt. Very strange, unusual beer, of course, not in the bad way.

(Rating #1367)

33 cl, best before 14 L H? Mostly clear, orange-amber with a 4-finger head. Nice creamy lacing. Aroma is of a spicy fruit dessert cake. Flavor is earthy-spiced caramel nut cake with slight rum. Excellent cinnamon bark and vanilla aftertaste is a bit unique and almost suggests cumin at times. Palate is nearly medium, syrupy and somehow drying at the same time. Definite dessert beer with a malt slant, but there is a great balance on the sweetness from a lot of different angles on this one. Only complaint is a bit too much carbonation makes it fizz up on the finish.

Bottle. Hazy copper. Yeasty, fruity aroma. Unusual taste, rather peppery, with a spicy alcohol warmth.

Bottle. Amber coloured with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of yeast, caramel and red fruit. Flavour had plenty of molasses, spice and a sweet finish. Ok.

33cl bottle - poured dark brown/copper with a caramel head. Lots of fruit, yeast and spicing in the aroma. Caramel, brown sugar, bread, loads of sweet malt. Flavour is similarly yeasty with the same dominate notes of dark fruit and spice and malt. Light alcohol in the middle toward finish, but in no way overbearing. Warming. This beer is very prevalent around Brussels.
