4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 swapp (54) - Kaunas, LITHUANIA - MAR 3, 2013
probably one of the best beer is what I have had to partake in Belgium. by the way if you buy a café is the original glass. beer is worth a try if you’re in Belgium.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sulawang (408) - British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 27, 2013
pours a nice caramel orange with a sizeable foamy head opaque with floaties, nice retention and lacing, some active streams. Sweet honeyed malts on the nose.
Attack: Ultra creamy-silky smooth mouthfeel, fizziness in the background, 6/10-gentle sweetness.
Mid-palate: honey, caramel malts, sarsaparilla, coriander, minor yeasty, light florals.
Finish: light malty, 2/10-bitterness mixed with light sweetness, crisp, clean, slightly fizzy, light burpy.
Quite an easy-drinking beer that has soda nuances. Exceptional.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beesbeer (349) - WALES - FEB 24, 2013
Nice but for me not the best Belgian strong ale in the world. Medium bodied, mellow flavour, vinaceous, jammy, malts predominate. Finish sweet/dry.
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Benfi (292) - DENMARK - FEB 23, 2013
Pours clear copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear, sweetish aroma of malt, hops and spices. Pleasant, complex flavour of malt, hops, fruit, possibly cloves. Good, dry, roasty finish.

Served in traditional glassware from draft. Pretty if oddly translucent amber color with very little head. Flavorful as you’d expect from a Belgium, but this pour was very flat... Smooth, lightly malty finish. Good, but with more carbonation it could rock.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 jeremyh70 (352) - Missouri, USA - FEB 18, 2013
Pours a hazy dark amber with a big off white head with good lacing. Aroma of fruits like bananas and pears with some caramel sweetness and spiciness. Sweet taste of honey with fruit flavors like banana and a bit of clove spiciness. Finishes with nice yeast flavor and a bit of alcohol. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Interesting beer that is only enhanced by being served in a Kwak suspended glass. Drank at Max and Joes in Omaha.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 kambei70 (303) - - FEB 18, 2013
On tap at Max & Joes Belgian bar in Omaha. Poured into a traditional Kwak glass, which can only enhance the experience since the bartender related the morbid history of the glass. Taste was full and malty with some yeast. Aroma was tropical fruit and malt.

330ml bottle from Cheese & Wine shop, Darlington. Clear copper dark-golden amber colour, thick white foam head that diminishes leaving some lacing and a zesty banana aroma. Smooth sweet malt, with banana, vanilla, bready and yeasty flavours and a light bitterness. Nicely balanced, quite drinkable.
