Pours a orange/golden with short lasting white head. Aroma and taste is yeast, malt and yasty fruits (some cara in the taste). Body is suprisingly over medium. Sweet, not very bitter.

Originally rated on 8/19/08. Have seen this one several times but never tried it until now. Kwak poured a very nice reddish orange body, With a mid sized off white cap. Aromas of spice, and a little banana. Flavors were similar but i also detected caramel and cloves, mouthfeel was smooth and sweet, a little bitter but a nice finish. Overall a pretty good beer thats worth a try.

Appearance: a clear lighter orange Amber with off white foam. Aromas: very fruity strawberry, caramel sweetness mixed with a savoury flavour, reminds me of eating Parma ham and melon- that perfect balance. Palate: medium body, oily and thicker in texture. Taste: Sweeter fruit, strong, with caramel notes. Overall: been waiting to try this for ages, and not disappointed. Would recommend.

Bottle. Pours clear golden brown. Aroma of caramel, toffee, Belgian yeast. Sweet but complex taste with plenty of Belgian yeast in there. Good beer.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours dark gold with a white head. Taste fruits, Belgian yeast, lightly sweet but strong. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Kolor : Miedziany. Klarowny.
Piana: Żółta, średniopęchrzykowa. Dobrze zdobi szkło. Redukuje się do cieniutkiej kołderki. Pozostaje tak do końca.
Zapach: Mocno zbożowy. Trochę jasnych słodów , trochę pszenicy. Zapach ciemnych owoców. Głównie jabłka i śliwki. Zapach nieco drażniący w nozdrza, ale bardziej z powodu alkoholowej mocy.
Smak: Tu jest podobnie. Suszone owoce na pierwszym planie: śliwki, jabłka, gruszki. Następnie mocne zbożowe nuty. Jest też karmel i słodki cukier trzcinowy. Piwo bardzo rozgrzewa. Alkohol chwilami dominuje nad całością. Czuć jego moc! Po przełknięciu mocno drapie w gardle. Goryczka solidna, alkoholowa.
Wysycenie : Średnie, w stronę wysokiego.
Podsumowanie:
Piwny klasyk.

Light brown colour with a white head, disappears quickly. Spice, malt, pleasant phenols, a bit of apple on the nose. Sweet and malty in flavour, a lot of biscuity and fruity notes. High carbonation, good body for a Belgian, warming. Very drinkable.

Poured into the brewery’s specialty glass: hazy light amber color with a huge bone-colored head. Aroma of stone fruit with notes of caramel and yeast. Full body, lightly syrupy. Light astringent dryness in the finish. Flavor of stone fruit, maybe plum, mixed with some caramel. A bit of earthy yeast underneath.
