Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 28, 2003 Updated: Dec 21, 2005An amber beer with a great head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and yeast as well as nuts. The flavor is sweet with notes of wood, nuts, fruits, and plums, leading to a sweet smooth caramel end. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 6, 2006 [Bottled at East End Brewery, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong] Amber colour, firm creamy head. Toffee is obvious up front. Caranel and almond dominates this fairly soft malt driven beer. It has solid body, a light yeast character and lightly grassy finish. It’s not very complex, but really pleasant. Papsoe (10459), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 14, 2005 Updated: Jan 9, 2006(Bottle 33 cl) The gimmicky glass is NOT the main thing about this beer. Actually the "Kwak" is a very decent ale in it’s own right. Beautiful amber with a nice creamy head. Lots of floating yeast. Has some caramel-like notes but never gets sweet or cloying. Very nice ale. 181093 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 16, 2001 Updated: Mar 25, 2005Golden-brown colour. Slightly spicy aroma. Metallic, slightly sweaty character. Spicy palate. Thin bodied and not at all enjoyable. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 8, 2008 ZBF2008: From tap. Pours clear and golden light brown with a lacing off-white head. Light spiced and caramel malty aroma. Flavour is dry caramel, light spiced. Ends with much of same, lingering malty and yeasty flavour. Nice.
