An amber beer with a great head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and yeast as well as nuts. The flavor is sweet with notes of wood, nuts, fruits, and plums, leading to a sweet smooth caramel end.

[Bottled at East End Brewery, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong] Amber colour, firm creamy head. Toffee is obvious up front. Caranel and almond dominates this fairly soft malt driven beer. It has solid body, a light yeast character and lightly grassy finish. It’s not very complex, but really pleasant.

(Bottle 33 cl) The gimmicky glass is NOT the main thing about this beer. Actually the "Kwak" is a very decent ale in it’s own right. Beautiful amber with a nice creamy head. Lots of floating yeast. Has some caramel-like notes but never gets sweet or cloying. Very nice ale. 181093

Golden-brown colour. Slightly spicy aroma. Metallic, slightly sweaty character. Spicy palate. Thin bodied and not at all enjoyable.

ZBF2008: From tap. Pours clear and golden light brown with a lacing off-white head. Light spiced and caramel malty aroma. Flavour is dry caramel, light spiced. Ends with much of same, lingering malty and yeasty flavour. Nice.
