Poured a coppery gold. Initial flavour was bright and clean with caramel, orange peel, licorice/anise, coriander, and a hint of candy sugar. When yeast poured in the profile became more bitter and turbid on the taste buds.

A nice belgian style with a bit of yeast taste to it but otherwice very well balanced. A really nice non-trapist belgian!

Bottle, 0.33l. Copper color, suprisingly average head. Clear. Aroma: some grass, dates, raisins, caramel. In flavor. Full body. More on sweet side. In flavor date, honey notes. Overall: very good beer. Probably, my favorite brewery.

probably one of the best beer is what I have had to partake in Belgium. by the way if you buy a café is the original glass. beer is worth a try if you’re in Belgium.

Yeah, I think 3.5 is about right. A very pleasant and drinkable Bel-Strong Ale but not enough of a lure for me to repeat buy at the price of ~$11.00/bottle when there are so many readily available Belgian Strong Ales that are more affordable. That being said....copper/red on the pour with a bubble white foammy head that dissipates quickly. A thin, clear lacing that lingers a bit is present. Alcohol presence is a bit overstated in my opinion. Definately sweet and malty, flavors of apple and cinnamon were present. Like I said......pleasant but too pricey.

Malted, caramel and alcohol notes in the nose and mouth when drinking it.A drinkable beer with a special glass.

Poured dirty bronze, a bit hazy, with a thick, creamy, sturdy white head. Good retention and very sticky lace. Wonderful complex aroma, full of malt, fruit, figs and cherries, brown sugar, smoke, peat, earth, yeast, alcohol and floral hops. Flavors were sweet malt, caramel & toffee, dark fruit, grain, french bread, cherries, apples, lemons, yeast, alcohol, raisins and sherry. Great creamy mouthfeel, solid, slightly bitter finish.
