4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I think itís just a very tasty and easy going beer. Itís sweet, but also has a sour yeastiness to it giving it more balance and complexity. Together with a very mild bitter finish with fruits and malts itís just a very refreshing and easy to drink beer.
Comes with a very special glass when ordered in the bar/pub.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not much aroma - smells of mashing, sweet malts and caramel. The looks is unique, not does it only come in a glass that canít stand on its foot - which is really stupid - but its beautiful copper red/brown with white head and the bubbles revealed in the high thin glass. The taste is sweet, malty caramel. Misses some bitterness and gets a bit boring in the long run.

Pours a thin white head that disappears by the third sip. Color is great, a nice coppery brown. Nice malty taste that stays at the roof of the mouth. Its good.

Bottle. Pours a really nice amber color. Strong aromas of whole grain bread, molasses, canned mushrooms. Its something else, I like it. Taste starts very sweet, caramel and bread, slight kick from the alcohol. Sticky aftertaste.
This is not going to be a winner for me.

Kwak is a true experience. It is neither the strongest, heaviest or spiciest of Belgians, but there is a thickness to it and a real diversity of flavors. Thereís a licorice undertone that I love as a Sambuca man, and also a really gentle carbonation. Best when served in a short yard glass.

Pours amber with a tanned head. aroma is definitely "belgian", sweet, yeasty and bready. taste is unusual.. metallic, minerally, some cherry, and a high carbonation. quite dry, plenty of fizz in the mouth, and a bitter finish. found it nice, but a little odd!

330ml bottle. light hazy amber color, no head, lively carbonation. aroma of caramel, sweet malts and sea breeze. taste is sweet malts, moderate medium hops, medium dry finish, some well hidden alcohol and a nice malty aftertaste.
