I saw this in a few bars in Belgium and decided that I HAD to try it - what was with the test-tube style glass?? It is high-gravity so after a few you are ready to do a few science experiments. Without the glass I guess it is just another Belgian ale.

I first tasted Kwak in a small bistro in a small town in Belgium. It was served in a very peculiar glass: a slender hourglass-shaped glass that fit into a wooded holder. I wasn't too sure about it at first, but it went down very smoothly with the cheese and peanuts served with it. About 3/4 of the way down, I realized that this beer had more of a kick than I originally gave it credit for. All in all, a very good drink.

Amber belgian slips smoothly out of specialty glass (with accompanying wooden handle stand -- may need a specialty beer bar for this accoutrement). Citrus and hints of spice.

Draft in an original glass. A nice interesting beer with an interesting story. Malty aroma with an orangie-honey flavor, and and cloves-vanilla finish. Rich flavor but inspite of the high abv. a relatively light beer.

Awesome Beer. Served in a yard-of-beer style glass with wooden holder, very nice amber color, full of caramel flavor with a spice finish. One of my very favorites.

Sell this in bottles in my bar, we’ve also had it on draught - got through 3 30litre kegs inside a week! Quite sweet, toffee & banana flavours, with hints of liquorice. Colour is a deep, rich, amber with a strong sweet aroma. Taste not overpowering, quite easy to drink - once you’ve mastered the glass!

Botlle, 33cl, This beer has a deep amber colour with a tiny beige head. It has a malty and smooth flavor, good body. It also has a nice, fruity aroma.
