hints of chocolate malt and spicy alcohol with light floral hop aromas. dark golden/light amber colouration, head dispersed quickly. sweet caramel and spicy complexity with light floral hop flavours. thin body with sharp spiciness and dry lightly bitter finish. very enjoyable beer.

The pour is full and lively - copper color with a full rocky head and silky lace. Head retention is poor, although a fine layer remains throughout. The aroma is bready, yeast, malt, fruity esters, cherries, clove, musty (or dank) and some bubblegum in the background. The taste is sweet and malty at the start with no surprising hop bitterness or bite. The Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with low effervescence. IMHO: A very drinkable beer with well-balanced characteristics. The character changes noticeably with warming, more complexity develops.

Mörkröd med ordentlig skumkrona. Omedelbar sötma, med lång karamell och malt. Styrkan märks inte alls. Någon tomhet i sena eftersmaken.

Carbonation intensely wanted out of both bottles I tried. Flavor was spicy, tangy, fruity, malty and strong. Color was deep, rich red/brown. Liked it so much I had to have a second at Flying Pie Pizza.

I think it’s just a very tasty and easy going beer. It’s sweet, but also has a sour yeastiness to it giving it more balance and complexity. Together with a very mild bitter finish with fruits and malts it’s just a very refreshing and easy to drink beer. Comes with a very special glass when ordered in the bar/pub.

---Rated via Beer Buddy by Sátyro

I enjoyed this one. The head lasted for ages. I was worried that i might under rate it as mine had fairly large amounts of floating matter suspended in it. I was trying to hard to avoid it. It wasn’t too strong tasting for me either, which i find some belgians to be. I want the Kwak glass - it looks fantastic!

From bottle. Lovely Belgian. Aroma is clean and sweet but without any dominate smell. Palate yeasty, as expected, with sweet malt. No sense of alcohol even though it’s 8%. Brings back memories of drinking this in Amsterdam.

Flaska från systemet. Bärnstensfärgad vätska. Luktar honung. Smakar sm en blommig sommaräng.

Copper brown, foaming light beige thick head, slighlty lace. Yeast in nose at the start of the glass, but at finish also flowery and malty aromas. Sweet, yeasty, spicy aromatic, some alcohol, a bit sour, dry and mild hop aroma. Aftertaste is dry & sweet, a bit yeast-like and quite long.
