Amber-copper colour with little head, which kinda sucked. Aroma of bubblegum, caramel and banana. Medium bodied. Started of sweet and fruity. Develops into a foamy beer. Finish was bitter and lasting with a medium alcoholic taste. Was OK but sort of underwhelming.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a clear brown with a big white head. Aroma: Nice bready malt. Sweet malt begin, middle is mild and warm alcohol with some hints of cantaloupe. Balances off with nice, mild hop bitter that numbs the tongue a bit. Medium bodied with a slick texture and average carbonation. Overall, a really nice, sweeter amber.

Bottle. Hazy copper. Yeasty, fruity aroma. Unusual taste, rather peppery, with a spicy alcohol warmth.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
On-tap. "If you want to drink it out of a original Kwak glass, you have to leave your left shoe as a pledge! Those glasses are really expensive.” No, the bartender didn’t pull my leg. The downside of visiting a student pub, I’ll guess. I had my beer in a pilsener flute instead.
The colour is pale amber; the finger-thick foam is white and quite compact.
The smell is sourish with some lactose and some sort of hops.
The carbonation was rather strong and a little bit sticky. But at the same time very fresh and descending.
The taste is sourish and very refreshing. The liberal taste of malt is slowly replaced by a lactose-sweetness and bitter hops. Then, a fine body and a mild taste of aromatic hops emerge. There is a touch of wheat beer in the aftertaste with the combination of candy-sweetness and fruity, spicy hops.

The novalty of the glass ruins the fine aroma and taste of this Belgium beer. It poors with a thick head butt has a great after taste.

Amber colour, big foamy head initially. Caramel, slightly burnt malt, raisin, date, syrup. More than medium sweetness, light bitterness. A regular Belgian, bit on the sweet side.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours cloudy brown, nice beige head that dissipates failry quickly but leaves a halo and some legs. Nice medium to heavy bodied mouthfeel, with aromas of malts, and sugar. I get some dark fruit, a little bit of orange peel, tartness, and alcohol notes. A sweet beer that finishes dry and grainy. Some bitterness as well, but not consistently. This is a very nice Belgian ale, not too acute, and with a decent ABV to enjoy with dinner or dessert. Tasted @ 55F.
