On draft at republic. Sweet aroma with a slight fruitiness as well as big notes of caramel and breadiness (if frutiness and breadiness even count as words....). Dark amber pour with off white head. Love the sweetness on the tongue as well as the nice body. This is a very enjoyable beer.

Aspetto ambrato-rosso, bella schiuma.
Buon profumo, sapore fruttato e caramellato, bell’equilibrio finale tra dolce e amaro. Un’ottima Belgian Strong Ale.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2015 Tulip glass, in Belgrade. Pine on nose. Short beige head, rich citrus, cherry also strong, light caramel. Nice red-brown amber color. Translucent and bright, best powerful carbonating. Classic beer luxury for everyday use and never start to be boring.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2008 Cloudy amber - medium light brown head. Malty sweet fruityness. Nice alcohol taste. Actually refreshing. this is my second go-around with this beer and I am raising my rating. I think it’s pretty darn good.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I think it’s just a very tasty and easy going beer. It’s sweet, but also has a sour yeastiness to it giving it more balance and complexity. Together with a very mild bitter finish with fruits and malts it’s just a very refreshing and easy to drink beer.
Comes with a very special glass when ordered in the bar/pub.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tapped in Los v Oslo. Glass is really interesting. But the beer itself is good as well. Light brown color, thin yellowish not really stable head. Aroma of malt and caramel. You can smell some points of alcohol as well - the beer is pretty strong. Bitter and medium finish, a lot of alcohol in the taste. Nice one, although a bit strong.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear caramel redish color with strong off whit foam.
Aromas of grains and malt, sugar, oranges and caramel.
Palate, full body, meadium sticky/ caramely texture that covers whole mouth and leaves sugary sweet finish.
Taste is very sweet and sugary/caramel-y. has this subtile alcohol hints at the back of the mouth but in general sweet malty beer.
Overall, this tasting experience is way more fun from their wacky glasses that makes it more interesting (for me). As a beer bit on the stronger side I would say but sweeter than I thought. nice colors and aromas along with taste, pretty good I would say and would recomend!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very much reddish orange color with light brown, quite small, firm and lacy head. Aroma is caramel malty, spicy, hoppy, yeasty with some alcohol coming through. Flavor is sweet, spicy, syrupy and balanced with raisins. Palate is medium-bodied, practically no carbonation and a bit alcoholic.
