Aroma is pungent caramel. Pours with little head. A very nice taste, well-balanced, excellent beer.

Not usual a fan of ambers but liked this one. Malty but still maintained good flavor and crispness. Tasting at whole foods ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle, clear amberish liquid with medium to small head. sweet malty dry, a tat bit too sweet for ale i’d say. But the special glass makes it very nice to drink (when drunk) in a bar. (only once did it splash in my face...)

hazy amber pour with thick white head; sweet malty aroma with spices. Bready taste with caramel malt, spices, and dark fruit. Well balanced finish and smooth and creamy on the palate.

Bottled. Clear, deep copper-red with a medium-sized, off-white head. Sweet, almost medicinal, some banana. Thick and warm in the mouth. Excellent.

I love Kwak. It’s a "set you on your bootie" strong ale. In traditional bars, Kwak is served in a unique glass similar to the "yard of ale" style. It’s dark brown with a lovely creamy head. It has a complex aroma and a very lovely mouth.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2005 Fantastic - esp. if enjoyed from the excellent and rather unusual glass. Lots of complexity, maltyness, and a really nice mellow aftertaste. Oh yes - almost bananalike aroma.

Beer Poors slightly hazy copper with a huge white head. Aroma is very complex and inviting reminiscent of rasin and bread. Beer has an excellent flavor with no hop presense a complex yeast flavor of raisin and a subtle sweetness from the malt. The palate is perfect for the style making this easy to drink. Overall this was great and I could sit down and have a few!

Poured from a bottle. Aromas of caramel with hints of apple. Pours a clear amber that looks great. A light sweet taste. Between medium and full bodied, with creamy texture, and slightly bitter finish. A really great Belgian Ale, rich and smooth.
