Full-bodied Belgian Specialty Ale. Amber in color with beautiful foam and slightly sweet, seductive malt character. Rich, satisfying Belgian experience.

Yes, it has a simpler and sweeter flavor than many other belgians, but it is fantastic. Straightforward caramel maltiness with subtle Belgian spiciness - and not too sweet - great great great with food.

gorgeous gold-red color. slight head, no clinginess. quite thin mouthfeel but has some sort of ooomph. very apple-ish, reminds me of knightís ale in a big way. tasty. itís a toss up with knightís ale, imho.

Bottle in original glass. Stunning clear red-amber color. Fruity nose, sweet with hint of bitterness. Very nice beer. Highly recommended.

Draft. Nice amber/brown color with a fluffy head. Aroma of spice bread and raisins. Corresponding flavors. Dry finish. Moderate mouthfeel. Great glass.

This beer is weird, I still cannot describe what it tastes like. I have one right here in my hand, and its my third six pack. Ive had it in the states and in france. Still this stuff baffles me. Its a great flavor, very supriseing, but I cant describe it. If you want a beer that tastes like nothing else, this is it.

Bottle, 33cl. I was expecting a lot more from this one. Itís a good beer but something in the flavour was not right.... Pours a red/brown colour with a small beige head that disappeared a little too fast (next time iíll try to drink it in her special glass). Aroma of fruits and spices. The flavour is strong and very complex also very dry. I can sense the malt, spices and the alcohol. However, thereís also something like burnt wood in the flavour that isnít good. Not very smooth and not the best belgian beer around.

Iím not that crazy about this one but it could be that the Belgian Strong Ales are not my cup of tea. The aroma is of toasted dates and the head is not holding. This is being enjoyed in a goblet so the aroma and taste of a Belgian should be accentuated. The first impression of the taste is dark Belgian candy sugar...very sweet. It does finish with a nice light tartness but follows with an alcohol aftertaste is subtle but noticeable.

pours reddish/orange with a slight frutti aroma. Loads of fizz; malty even. Taste is traditional American malt, not as bitter. Alcohol is hidden very well; very refreshing. Solid Belgian Ale, though not the top echelon.

You just donít realise the alc. content of this beautiful and tasteful belgian goddess, and that can be dangerous enough! This is definitely one of favourite belgian ales, and it is so refreshing and dry you wouldnít believe it, and so easy to drink youíd think it was a ginger ale. Somewhat fruity in the back, but never too much, just a hint of orange, and leads your thoughts to north german pilseners. Iíve never had this from a bottle though, but do take my words for the draught version.

Poured from bottle into a snifter. Aroma of bananas and yeast. Appearance is a clear golden amber with a 1 finger light tan head that dissipates quickly. Taste is semi sweet malt and banana. Some booze as well. Palate is very smooth. Overall an excellent beer. Cheers.
