Full-bodied Belgian Specialty Ale. Amber in color with beautiful foam and slightly sweet, seductive malt character. Rich, satisfying Belgian experience.

Belle couleur ambrée. On goûte l’alcool et le malt. amertume légère. Bière classique sans originalité mais qui passe bien.

Pours amber to copper with fantastic fluffy and creamy head that slowly settles with excellent inviting lacing. Fruity bread with raisins and spicy hops in aroma. Sweet raisins also in flavor with a spicy bitter finish. Body could be somewhat thicker though, but still a fantastic beer.

The first thing that stands out is the unique glass in wich it is served. It is amber colored with a lasting off-white head. medium carbonation. Fruit and malts in the taste with a slightly sweet aftertaste a great beer to drink on an entire night.

Bottle. The beer poured a nice amber body with a small tan head. The smell is a good blend of citrus and roasted malt, a hint of brown sugar. Taste is just like the smell with good carbonation.

33 cl bottle from a local supermarket. It pours a cloudy deep amber liquid with beige high head; it looks delicious. Few lacing. The aroma is lighter than you’d expect; still, its complexity is awesome. The sweetness is obvious, with fruit and spices. You can smell bananas, pineapple and some orange. Some distant booze that doesn’t spoil it. It tastes very much like it smells, with the freshness of hops and a high sweetness coming from the roasted malts. Full bodied and with lower than average carbonation (the perfect amount for this beer), it has a sweet aftertaste, being low in bitterness. A very original brew; unique. Definitely, not a session beer because of its sweetness, but worth drinking from time to time. Nice presentation (bottle and crown cap) and amusing drinking glass.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2005 The Kwak glass is so spiffy looking I had to buy one today, with the beer to go along. Pours a beautiful clear orange copper with a large foamy beige head shooting up the neck and dissipating gradually. I had fun watching the small bubbles rise from the bulb and up the unique shape of the glass. The aroma is of sweet toasty caramel with hints of nuts (peanut butter lightly makes an appearance). The roasted malts are emphasized in the flavor with lots of caramel and honey. Very smooth palate with a bitter and mildly alcoholic aftertaste. Leaves sparse lacing as you drink it. This beer is truly an experience of its own. I really enjoyed it!

some metallic aroma, amber looking with small head, medium sweetness, medium body, texture thin, soft carb. Nice to drink in a Kwak glass

Pours a clear brown with a big white head. Aroma: Nice bready malt. Sweet malt begin, middle is mild and warm alcohol with some hints of cantaloupe. Balances off with nice, mild hop bitter that numbs the tongue a bit. Medium bodied with a slick texture and average carbonation. Overall, a really nice, sweeter amber.

Amber-copper colour with little head, which kinda sucked. Aroma of bubblegum, caramel and banana. Medium bodied. Started of sweet and fruity. Develops into a foamy beer. Finish was bitter and lasting with a medium alcoholic taste. Was OK but sort of underwhelming.

Bottle. Hazy copper. Yeasty, fruity aroma. Unusual taste, rather peppery, with a spicy alcohol warmth.
