4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clássica breja belga, com seu copo característico. Essa golden Strong ale tem cor cobre, com aroma furtado intenso. No paladar, notas de pao, frutas amarelas, cravo, algo cítrico. Corpo denso, final frutado, alcoólico e duradouro. Ótima breja!

I think itís just a very tasty and easy going beer. Itís sweet, but also has a sour yeastiness to it giving it more balance and complexity. Together with a very mild bitter finish with fruits and malts itís just a very refreshing and easy to drink beer.
Comes with a very special glass when ordered in the bar/pub.

To much waffle on this beer. Standard Euro drop. Smells good, Broad tones over the mid-tongue, quick on the tip... reasonably fast. We like it! God purchase. A little residue scorchy wax in the palette. But a very quick conditioning

UPDATED: APR 19, 2011 33cl bottle poured in the authentic Kwak glass. Clear sparkling amber color with a beige head that leaves some very nice lacing. The pouring is art itself when you see the head settle and the beer rising. Beatiful! Aroma is full of fine malts with some caramel. Taste is very malty with a nice banana and a caramel taste. In the end there is some little bitterness. The mouthfeel is great and is very soft with good carbonisation. Very nice brew!

Pours a brown gold, head fades with a slim rim around the glass. Aroma is caramel malt, pear, hint of banana and brown sugar. Taste is sweet but the malt is kept in balance. Good berry fruits come through. Finishes with a crisp bite but the sweetness stays on your lips. Really cool Belgian, manages to walk in between the heavy dubbel and a lighter blond. I dig it.

Tap. Pours a nice amber with ecru head. A little more mild than other belgians. Doesnít seem to be quite as complex as other belgians, but still good. There was a distinct musty sweetness that the Kwak had. Overall, I have to try some more to get really used to the style.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very decent throughout. Pours orange with not much head. Taste is spicy and has hints of maltiness throughout. Gets better with every drink. Alcohol is under the surface just enough to warm the belly. Give this a try!

On draft at republic. Sweet aroma with a slight fruitiness as well as big notes of caramel and breadiness (if frutiness and breadiness even count as words....). Dark amber pour with off white head. Love the sweetness on the tongue as well as the nice body. This is a very enjoyable beer.
