Full-bodied Belgian Specialty Ale. Amber in color with beautiful foam and slightly sweet, seductive malt character. Rich, satisfying Belgian experience.

Tap. Pours a nice amber with ecru head. A little more mild than other belgians. Doesn’t seem to be quite as complex as other belgians, but still good. There was a distinct musty sweetness that the Kwak had. Overall, I have to try some more to get really used to the style.

Very decent throughout. Pours orange with not much head. Taste is spicy and has hints of maltiness throughout. Gets better with every drink. Alcohol is under the surface just enough to warm the belly. Give this a try!

Pours a brown gold, head fades with a slim rim around the glass. Aroma is caramel malt, pear, hint of banana and brown sugar. Taste is sweet but the malt is kept in balance. Good berry fruits come through. Finishes with a crisp bite but the sweetness stays on your lips. Really cool Belgian, manages to walk in between the heavy dubbel and a lighter blond. I dig it.

On draft at republic. Sweet aroma with a slight fruitiness as well as big notes of caramel and breadiness (if frutiness and breadiness even count as words....). Dark amber pour with off white head. Love the sweetness on the tongue as well as the nice body. This is a very enjoyable beer.

I think it’s just a very tasty and easy going beer. It’s sweet, but also has a sour yeastiness to it giving it more balance and complexity. Together with a very mild bitter finish with fruits and malts it’s just a very refreshing and easy to drink beer. Comes with a very special glass when ordered in the bar/pub.

UPDATED: APR 10, 2008 Cloudy amber - medium light brown head. Malty sweet fruityness. Nice alcohol taste. Actually refreshing. this is my second go-around with this beer and I am raising my rating. I think it’s pretty darn good.

33cl bottle, clear amber color, medium white head, caramel and yeast aroma with spices and raisins notes, sweet malt flavor, medium to full body, finish with some hops, pleasant and balanced but standard belgian ale

Tapped in Los v Oslo. Glass is really interesting. But the beer itself is good as well. Light brown color, thin yellowish not really stable head. Aroma of malt and caramel. You can smell some points of alcohol as well - the beer is pretty strong. Bitter and medium finish, a lot of alcohol in the taste. Nice one, although a bit strong.
