3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not as smooth as its sister Deus, but more flavorful. Unfortunately I prefer the flavor of Deus as I’m not much for the flowery Belgian characteristic. Flavor is slightly sweet, with floral notes and a balance of hops and malt.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2008 Deep copper coloured pour with nice quickly diminishing head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Starts with caramel, banana and moves to malt as the alcohol comes through. Creamy toffee aftertaste. Limited complexity? Agreed, but a pleasant drink nonetheless.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured into the most interesting coach glass of Kwak. Aromas of raisins and malts. Initial taste of malts and ended with a refreshing light aftertaste that taste a little lemony. Very good summer beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

caramel, bread, citrus, dough, butterscotch, amber, clear, frothy, light sweetness, lightly bitter, astringent, average carbonation, creamy, light body
Was hoping that there would be a good beer here, and not just a gimmicky glass presentation - was not disappointed!
A light Belgian yeast/fruit aroma with sweet/dry taste and a light caramel finish.

This is a great beer, but the taste isn’t that special, the original glass makes it all good.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a medium amber color. The nose is very spicy with bananas. Comes across the palate very smooth with mild carbonation. The banana shines the most and the spice just lingers forever.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours dark brown, with nice creamy white head. Complex nose with hints of malt, yeast, and dried fruit. The taste is a romantic combination of caramel, yeast and a nice mix a dried fruit, with a pinch of hops. Good, but not an elite beer.
