33 cL bottle. Aroma of caramel malt. Orangey amber color with fine bubbles, and an off-white head that laced a little. Medium body with mild, almost creamy, carbonation. There is instant heat, a light touch of darker fruits, and moderate caramel sweetness. It’s beautiful, but not so complex as many.

On tap @ Falling Rock poured a clear copper wioth a small lasting amber head. Aromas of fruitiness, carmel and light spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, fruitiness, light spice and a hint of yeast with a smooth slightly drey lingering sweet finish.

Cloudy Brown, Malty nose. Fair chunk of toasted malt in the taste as well. Not sure I’d cal this one complex though. what you smell is pretty much what you get.

Middle of the road tripel.Nice foamy head with lacing but disappears fast.Little carbonation.Nose of ripe pears, apricots.Taste is on the bitter side with metallic/herbal notes.Beer is quite good, not exceptional .The glass is great though.

Hoppy flavor, high alcohol is evident. A tad harsh. I’m just not a fan of the Kwak.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2006 A very complex book with detailed chapters on fruit, spices, caramel, malt and hops…The pages of my copy though are stuck together by bubblegum…This is not the first copy I buy…
