Il colore è bell’ambrato con schiuma compatta. Aroma classico dello stile ma secondo un pò povero. In bocca è tutto da copione, dolciastra e con poco carattere. Mi aspettavo di più.

I tried it at a belgian sampling at the Muddy Pig in st paul in 2008. It wat one of my favorite belgian style, nice mix of malts.

(Bottle, 0.75 l, at least two year old one) Poured mahogany coloured and quite clear. Head was medium sized, fizzy and it disappeared quickly. Aroma had raisins, citricness, mead and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were raisins, malts, mildly sweetness, fruitiness, mead and bitterness. Aftertaste was dry and sweet. I suppose ageing hasn’t done good to this one. I should have drunk this as fresh. Aroma was superb.

Smells malty and alcoholic. Tastes similar. The palate is uncomplex. However, this is delicious with a Reuban sandwich at Momma Goldberg’s in Birmingham.

Tap Bier Central, Antwerp: Clear amber coloured brew i never rated earlier, but now the time is right to do it. Subtle sweet coloured brew and fine sweet bitter finish. An true classic beer.

Pours light golden brown with a thick beige head. Clear with very little visible carbonation. Aroma is malty with a lot of ester (yeast), burned sugar and spices. A light roasted note as well. Medium bodied and slightly dry. Taste is sweet and pretty alcoholic with a fruity touch. Finishes quick but have a nice aftertaste.

A nice amber beer. The original glass definitely adds to the experience, but the beer itself is good enough to make me smile.

Tap @ Belgian Brasseie Henri. Clear, deep amber color, long-life medium sized foamy off-white head, sweet spicy and fruity aroma, medium body, slight sweet fruity and caramel taste, fruity palate with spicy hoppy notes. Pleasant well-balanced beer.

From the 330 ml. bottle marked C-CI-CABF-3.28-18:20. The pour is chestnut amber with reddish hues, decent carbonation leading up to a quick lasting off white head. Belgian sugar, yeast, bready malts, dark fruit, and a vague earthy hop note speckle the aroma. Medium to full body and smooth. Very sweet flavor but alcohol well-integrated. No real bitterness. Drinkable.
