Full-bodied Belgian Specialty Ale. Amber in color with beautiful foam and slightly sweet, seductive malt character. Rich, satisfying Belgian experience.

I love Kwak. Itís a "set you on your bootie" strong ale. In traditional bars, Kwak is served in a unique glass similar to the "yard of ale" style. Itís dark brown with a lovely creamy head. It has a complex aroma and a very lovely mouth.

My absoute favorite beer.! Beautiful amber colour, fruity in the scent, sweet taste, chocolate and thick. I drank it from the original glass, which have an interesting story behind it: The glass is shaped the way it is because the bartenders in old time, could serve it to passengeres and drivers on the horse-carriages whitout them stopping. Then the glass would hang in a special mounted holder and no beer would spill... Great story, great beer.

Pours a medium amber color. The nose is very spicy with bananas. Comes across the palate very smooth with mild carbonation. The banana shines the most and the spice just lingers forever.

Bottle. Bright amber colour, lively carbonation, for a finger big creamy beige head, that slowly sits down into a nice crown. Strong sweet fruits aroma, caramel and resin. Medium to full body, starts with sweet taste, turns on bitter and finish with heavy bitternes, that lasts long. 8% alc. is noticable, but not overhelming. Great beer!

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2014 Tulip glass, in Belgrade. Short beige head, rich citrus, cherry also strong, light caramel. Nice amber color. Translucent and bright, best carbonating. Classic beer luxury for everyday use and never start to be boring.

Special Pauwel Kwak glass (Priceless)
I tried this beer on October 21, 2008 at "Smokeless Joes" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was poured into the special Kwak glass a translucent golden red, highly effervescent, and with a long lasting white head. The aroma was yeast, fruity, with some hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with medium to high carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt, plummish tones, and a bitter finish.
