Ver surprised by the 8%, it does not taste strong. A fruity banana aroma at first then becomes very sweet. Nice head when poured from bottle that lasts for a few sips. By the end of the glass sweetness was taking over.

It comes in a dark amber tone, rather crystal appearance. Nice head lets you smell all the aromas, but most of them open in your mouth, leaving a strong sweet candy sugar taste, so typical for belgian ales.

Bottle. Pours amber/copper in colour with big white head. Aroma of mix of malty, caramel, candi sugar notes and fruits - peach, pear, light banana. Medium body, nice smooth on the palate, moderate carbonation.

Has this beer a few times before but forgot to rate it. Kwak is an amber coloured beer with a caramel malt character, sweet cookies and cake aroma most dominant. Not cloying, but not sessionable either.

330 ml bottle. Served in a Pauwel Kwak glass, the beer pours a hazy orange/copper color with about an inch and a half off-white head that stayed around for a long time. There’s also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is mostly fruity, the brew smells like pear, bananas, dried fruit, bready malt and some caramel. Taste is similar to the aroma, with pear, dried fruit, figs, dates, caramel and bready malt, banana and yeasty flavors. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit coating and creamy with a decent amount of carbonation. I think it’s a good enough brew, glad I tried it.

Body is medium, aktief koolzuur, redelijk zacht. De afdronk is zoetig en plakkerig. Prima Belgische Ale.

Draught at a pub in Budapest. It pours clear deep amber, almost chestnut, in a funny looking glass. The aroma is both bitter and sweet like banana and toffee, and some alcohol. The taste is brown bread, apple and pear, with a woody finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. NIce complex beer.

Sweet dried fruit and comparatively mild caramel malt in the nose. Dark red pour with thick white foam. The caramel malt dominate the taste but the finish is somewhat dry with a strong alcohol aspect. It is a little more mild than most Belgian ales.

Kraftig frugtig aroma. Mørk gylden. Meget sød og fyldig. Cremet skum. Klassisk stærk belgisk ale, men der er også lidt påskebryg over dens sødme.
