From bottle at World Beer Fest in Raleigh. Amber/copper pour. Sweet malt, caramel on the nose, grain. No real yeast. Very drinkable; not what I usually expect from a Belgian, but good.

Aug 20, 2008 Deep orange colour with medium fluffy white head.Aroma is sweet of dry fruits and caramel,smooth mouth feels and well balanced.

Aug 19, 2008 750 mL bottle. Pours hazy and copper with a small white head. Sweet, malty aroma, plus raisins, dates, caramel, plums, vanilla, and alcohol. Very inviting. Moderately sweet malty flavor with dried fruit present, fading to a tart finish. Alcohol is present in the finish, but is well masked. A fine beer, smooth and very tasty.

Aug 19, 2008 Poured deep orange/amber color with a mid to small head. Fruity aroma mixed with malt-like overtone. Sweet finish that left a great taste.

Aug 18, 2008 Bottle & tap @ Café Gollem. Amber beer, off-white head. Looks very nice in its own glass. Aroma is sweet, caramel and sweet fruits. Flavour is very sweet, malty, caramel, fruity. Way too sweet for me. Decent brew though, because of the very smooth mouthfeel.

Aug 17, 2008 330 ml bottle. Reddish orange colour; small off-white head. Sweet malty aroma with apples and yeast. Some nuts and raisins in the malty flavour. Dry finish with a little alcohol warmth.
