UPDATED: JUN 22, 2009 Bottled sampler. Rater #400 for this beer. Had just a sampler at Binny’s, so this is kind of a placeholder until I get to a whole bottle: Slightly fruity impression, with a suggestion of berries. Orangey in color, subdued spiciness. Definitely on my list.

First off the story alone for the glass is great. Pours an amber color with a white head. The nose has hints of a sweetness, malt and apricot. The flavor is a sweet malty raisin, a touch of stone fruit/plum, toffee. Overall a really delicious beer.

ottima birra, molto equilibrata con un piacevolissimo gusto dolce...schiuma consistente anche se non molto persistente. Nasconde alla perfezione il suo elevato grado alcolico!

Located this at Redstone Liquors in Stoneham, Mass. Paid under $10 for a 750ml of it. Reminded me greatly of the time I spent in Brussels last year and how accessible yet tasty this beer was.
A - Poured a very huge malty head of about 5 fingers into a Duvel Tulip. The head itself was a deep tan color. The beer is dark brown to amber in color
S - Bread, malt, honey, caramel and some creaminess
T - Some hints of citrus but this is a standard bready / yeast filled beer. Lots of bread, very deep and rich. I’m getting some roasted aspects from the malt and some wood notes
M - Very carbonated but not extreme. Swishing the beer around in my mouth yields about 70% foam and the rest remains liquid. Easy to drink
O - Delicious. I wouldn’t seek this beer our regularly but it’s a decent belgian ale that’s not Jupiler whih is always good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 BunnyHops (24) - Newark, Illinois, USA - FEB 1, 2012
Beer pours a dark amber with two finger of airy head that disipated quickly and reminants of head. Aroma is of bread yeast and alcohol. Very malty, slight spice and a whole lot of tasty sour belgian yeast. Tiny bitterness overturned by yeasty maltiness. Finishes out nice with a bready aftertaste that doesnt linger too long.

Clear copper with a nice head no lacing though.Light sweet smoky malts with hints of toffee and carmal. Taste is like it smells with light sour with no heat of alcolol. Mouthfeel was smooth creamy with a delicate long finish. Love it...
