Bottle. The pour was a sparkling clear light to medium brown with a large (3-4 finger) off white frothy head that was mostly diminishing and produced poor lacing. The aroma was very sweet and hoppy with a sweet bread malt, a nice floral hop and a sweet earthy yeast and had notes of caramel, dried dark fruit (raisons and plums) and a strong alcohol presence. The taste was right off the bat, sweet, malty and a tad acidic with a strong caramel note. The flavor then progressed to be a little acetic with a nice dose of dried fruit with the end having a rather strong alcohol flavor that was left lingering for a nice duration after the swallow. Mouthfeel was somewhere between light and medium in body with a dice dry texture and a prickly carbonation. Overall a nice bold tasting Ale with some really nice malt characteristics that you can only get from a really decent Belgian brew.

Distinctly Belgian. Sweet malt smell with Belgian yeast. Deep Amber color. Medium weight and smooth. Sweet and caramel flavors with a creme brűlée hint touched by a yeast finish.

The beer pours a clear orangeish with a large off-white head. The aroma blends clove, apricot, wheat, and spicy notes. The taste is mildly sweet and slightly sour. The palate fuses an average carbonation, medium body, and a slick texture.

Clear copper color with white foam. The smell is boozy and has a little hoppy note. The taste is boozy with a lot of cookie dough and with a light carbonation. Calm aftertaste.

Pours dark amber and clear. Aroma reminds me of a subdued quad, dark sugars, figs and belgian yeast. Taste is quite sweet, like a actually good belgian tripel, lot´s of dark fruits and raisins. No traces of the relative high alcohol content. Bottle from Bier-deluxe.

Alleen het glas maakt dit bier al een feest om te drinken. Gelukkig valt de smaak ook niet tegen. Integendeel: Lekker amberkleurig bier met een rijke smaak.

Drank this in old Tolkien’s Pub on Catherine’s Square in Zagreb back in 2004, this is only the second time in a bar in Ba?anija, Istria. Amber with small but strong off white head. Peach ice tea aroma, biscuit and alcohol notes. Refreshing, sparkling, sweet, alcoholic warmth. Sweet syrupy finish, full body, medium carbonation. An old classic Belgian.

Large beautiful rich foam rises during pouring. This is a classic among Belgian beer. Its aroma is fruity and malty and very delicate. The taste is most caramel with notes of orange, apples / pears and has a comfortable sweet level without being "sticky". Slightly yeasty complemented by a spicy finish that together with a slight hoppy bitterness gives it good aftertaste.

33cl pour from chilled bottle into beer tulip at Charlie P’s in Vienna. Beautiful clear amber with fluffy off-white head and great lacing. Nose is fruity, cherry, estery, dark fruit. Full body and creamy. Taste mirrors nose.
