Full-bodied Belgian Specialty Ale. Amber in color with beautiful foam and slightly sweet, seductive malt character. Rich, satisfying Belgian experience.

Bottle. The pour was a sparkling clear light to medium brown with a large (3-4 finger) off white frothy head that was mostly diminishing and produced poor lacing. The aroma was very sweet and hoppy with a sweet bread malt, a nice floral hop and a sweet earthy yeast and had notes of caramel, dried dark fruit (raisons and plums) and a strong alcohol presence. The taste was right off the bat, sweet, malty and a tad acidic with a strong caramel note. The flavor then progressed to be a little acetic with a nice dose of dried fruit with the end having a rather strong alcohol flavor that was left lingering for a nice duration after the swallow. Mouthfeel was somewhere between light and medium in body with a dice dry texture and a prickly carbonation. Overall a nice bold tasting Ale with some really nice malt characteristics that you can only get from a really decent Belgian brew.

Very nice appearance, great taste, very sweet touch, typically belgian and yet much better than the typical belgian beer.

Nez un peu épicé. Bouche ronde, sucre candi, épices. Rond dans l’ensemble. Finale un peu alcoleuse. Pas mal dans l’ensemble.

Butelka 330 . Wypita tuz po zwyciestwie Polski 1-0 na Euro. Ciemna miedziana barwa .piana biala niezbyt duza. Duzo drozdzy w zapachu i smaku. Suszone owoce rodzynki cukry lekkie banany w tle. Dobry przyklad belga. Alkohol niezle schowany w tle.

0.25 tap. A clear, copper color with a medium, off-white head of an alright retention. Aroma is strongly yeasty with not much else in there. The taste is first and foremost spicy, yeasty, and sugary - it also brings in sweet, biscuity hints. A medium body, a slick and creamy texture, and a soft carbonation. Finish is medium long and introduces some herbal notes. Overall the beer is not bad, quite drinkable but lacks the complexity I expect from a Belgian Ale. Could be improved.

Caramel, malty, dried fruits, amber/brown with a good white/tan head, medium/full body, medium carbonation, taste of caramel and dired fruits, maybe too alcohol in the aftertaste...a great classic.
