Full-bodied Belgian Specialty Ale. Amber in color with beautiful foam and slightly sweet, seductive malt character. Rich, satisfying Belgian experience.

Poured from 330ml bottle into glass goblet. Beautiful clear golden-brown colour, medium off-white head that reduced very quickly. Big aroma of sugary toffee and burnt malt, some coffee and spice. Flavour is complex but dominated by caramel toffee with dark chocolate, coffee and marshmellow. Full body with medium carbonation, a little thick but the alcohol is very well hidden making this beer very drinkable. Kwak was a beer that introduced me to real flavour and complexity in beer, it doesn’t hold up as a full on favourite beer for me these days, but is still quality stuff that shows a well made big beer.

Sweet tasting with caramel overtones. I enjoyed being served it in the wood glass holder. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber color clear beer, white small bubbles head (not too much and dont last too long, but I’ve used trappist glass, pretty wide). Aroma: sweet belgian fruits esters (peach, banana), caramel, biscuit, slightly alcoholy. Taste: light to medium sweet, biscuity/caramely flavours and belgian esters again. Palate: medium body, dry, alcoholy (it’s nice, warming up alcohol, but strongly present). Low carbonation. Overall: good beer, too much alcohol on the finish. Without it, it would be extremely drinkable.

It is a good beer. I drank this beer to finish the night yesterday. It is a kind of classical beer and the mix betwen hop and malt is perfect with a sweet touch of sugar. The carbonation is weak.

Colore Ambra carico con riflessi rossi, schiuma poco persistente. Aroma di malto e caramello, sentore di alcol. Ingresso al palato molto dolce con finale appena amaro. Ancora alcol ben presente. Carbonazione medio alta. Buona anche se l’alcol è un po’ troppo in rilievo e copre altre note interessanti.

Excellent belgian ale. You can notice like a caramel touch to this. Nice strong taste but still smooth in the mouth

Roasty caramel aroma. Golden color, clear liquid, white head. Medium-heavy sweetness follow by medium bitterness. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation for the style. Great beer, and maybe slightly better when served in kwak glass.;)
