Poured from 330ml bottle into glass goblet. Beautiful clear golden-brown colour, medium off-white head that reduced very quickly. Big aroma of sugary toffee and burnt malt, some coffee and spice. Flavour is complex but dominated by caramel toffee with dark chocolate, coffee and marshmellow. Full body with medium carbonation, a little thick but the alcohol is very well hidden making this beer very drinkable. Kwak was a beer that introduced me to real flavour and complexity in beer, it doesn’t hold up as a full on favourite beer for me these days, but is still quality stuff that shows a well made big beer.

0,33L bottle, BB 25.10.2015. Pours red amber with off-white head. The small head stays for a moment. Aroma is fruits, yeast, potatoes, burnt sugar. Flavor is very sweet, caramel, malt, burnt sugar, fruits, and yeast. Finish is malty sweet with some alcohol. Overall: well made, but not among my favorites.

Clear, amber brown beer with a small white head. Mild toffee and sweet bread aroma. Body is thin to medium. Slightly bitter at first but soon turns sweeter and warmer. Caramel and bread in the taste as well with some hints of alcohol.

From 0,33l bottle. BBD: 08.10.2015 Pours cloudy amber-red liquid, almost no head. Aroma: raisins, cane sugar, candied fruits, Taste: light sweet, medium bitter, light sour, fruity - candied fruits, raisins, rough bitterness, Palate: full body, oily texture, average carbonation, long bitter sweet finish. Overall: good, pleasant, but expected more, no head, rough bitterness, -lower drinkability, less complex. It is a very good Belgian strong ale, but not something worth die for :)

330 ml bottle. Gusher. Nice deep sunrise orange/almost amber, pretty clear, with an average, creamy, not too persistent off white head. On the nose brown sugar, toffee, slightly toasted malts, fruit esters and yeast. Not much alchool, just a hint. Moderately sweet without being cloying, slightly spicy, malty and sugary. Quite velvety and slick. Very clean and refined aftertaste. Ridicolously easy to drink, no way this is a 8.4% beer! Average to lively carbonation, medium body, oily texture. Pleasently surprised, very good BSA.

Couleur ambrée profonde, pas de tête de mousse. Arôme puissant de fruits, corps moyen plus, saveurs douces et fruités de cerise. Sympa --- Dirty Google traduction Deep amber color, no head of foam. Powerful aroma of fruit, medium body more, sweet and fruity flavors of cherries. Nice
