At the brewery in a beautiful location with a great view. Nice rich head with good retention. Typical aroma and taste, a little caramely. Decent wheat beer. Great location.

Tap sample at the brewery. Clear to hazy golden with quick-dissolving white head. Medicinal, banana grappa and then dried banana aroma. Tastes juicy and a little sour. Light body, fizzy, weird finish. Drinkable but not good.

0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
Rotten taste. Something reminding of french cheese, the wrong way. Very stiff taste. Awkward smell. Something goes wrong in your mouth. I couldn’t finish my 250ml. Missing some the sourness of wheat beer.
Bad beer made by good people.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy tan. Has a spicy, corianderish aroma but is fairly unrefined. Light body, with a spicy accent. Doesn’t come together especially well, but it’s perfectly drinkable.

Draft and bottles. Is the color of Hoegaarden, very pale milky canary yellow, but without a needed thick head. No lace either. The bland aroma has a minute hint of spice, tangerine, or peach. Is fluffy and lightly effervescent. The flavors re nice. The malt character is solid, and it’s pretty dry. So overall, it’s not bad.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2011 Re-rate 5/19/11: Bottle sample at a blind Hefeweizens tasting. Hazy orange with a white frothy head. Spicy aroma of yeast, wheat, fruits (some citrus) and lactic notes. Sweetish flavor, slightly spicy, with yeast and a slightly drier finish. Light-medium-bodied. My 11th place of the tasting. 5/3/5/3/10=2.6
Draught sample at the 1st Israeli Beer Exhibition in Tel Aviv. Hazy yellow golden with a white head. Sweet fruity wheat aroma with lots of bubblegum. Sweet wheaty flavor with yeast, light graininess, some fruits, light spiciness, an acidic touch and a slightly drier finish. Light to medium body. Not a great Hefeweizen. 6/3/5/3/10=2.7
