On tap at Paw Paw Brewpub. 3000th rating, damn that’s a lot of beer. Hazy pumpkin amber with a thin white head and a few spots of lace. Aroma of mace, nutmeg, pumpkin and some grains. Taste is spicy with nutmeg, mace, malt, light pepper and sweet malt.

Thanks to my parents for bringing this growler on their trip from Michigan. Served in a snifter. Pours a moderately-hazed bright orange color with a good off-white head and a bit of lacing on the way down. The nose carries a combination of scents that reminds me of Apple Jacks with some cinnamon and other fall and pumpkin spices. A bit of clove maybe. The flavor is along the same lines with more of a sweetness, and it’s lacking in some of the malt depth that I enjoy from pumpkin ales. Light-medium body with good carbonation. A nice introduction to a brewery I’ll hopefully get to know better during my next visit.

On draught at the microbrewery in Paw Paw, Michigan. Pours a clear amber colored brew (not as dark at the Amber), with a creamy off-white head that quickly dissipates to a film top and spotty lacing. Aroma of caramel and nutmeg, some sweet pumpkin and a hint of clove. Taste is medium body, plenty of pumpkin/caramel malt with some short lived spice flavor. Finish is semi-sweet, mild spice aftertaste with nutmeg and a touch of clove.
