The Outlaw is brewed for those on the run from the laws of traditional American beer. An American IPA, the Outlaw is brewed with an abundance of American hops backed up by a solid malt base. Citrus, pine and slightly spicy aroma dominate the Outlaw; it finishes with a pleasant bitterness with a bit of malty sweetness.

Well payette brewery is not not on the bottom of my boise brewery lists. That is now that crooked fence is out. This beer should be called their pale ale, and their pale ale an ale. Maybe I have been spoiled by all the other good IPA’s out there, but this one did not make me feel satisfied in the end. Guess Ill be sticking with sockeye and tablerock for the time being.

Figured out toward the end of my trip to drink can/bottled beer in Utah. Nice IPA that actually tasted like beer and had a good hop matrix to it. These guys can make some beer.

Draft at the Bee's Knees in Idaho Falls. Hazy copper color with a nice white head and thick lacing. Sweeter hop aroma like mandarin oranges. Big flavor that starts with citrus and finishes with lingering pine resin. Pretty nice IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fairly less than standard India Pale Ale. But I like the name, so I give a little bonus.

12 oz can from a six pack bought at Winco, S.Salem $7.58 Pours a hazy burnt orange colour with a small yet persistent creamy off white head. Floral and citrus( pink grapefruit) hop aromas. Brown breadd like malt. Smooth balanced taste with the hops balanced by strong malting..but they shine through in the end. Mouth feel is average..if not a tad thin..but not watery. Nice average PNW style IPA.

Slightly bitter, but not terrible and grapefruit with a big resin forward. Not a bad IPA for sure, but not one I’m going to run out to find either. A great IPA to provide at large gatherings, medium bodied and well carbed. Kind of a long finish with a biting bitter end, but still, not too bad at all.

Canned from Winco. 6.2%. Hazy orange with a bit of golden highlights. Hoppy citric nose with a bit of sweetness. Hoppy up front with a touch sweetness. Decent bitterness and a decent malt backbone. A hint of breadiness. Decent sipping IPA.

Bunches of Outlaw tonight... Surprising to see the reach of Payette. The only IPA at my work party at the Grove and the only IPA at Pengilly’s.. That said, this is a bonafide Boise staple anymore... Decent enough IPA for the geeks. Pours a light amber with a good head... slightly pithy citrus with lesser piney hops... good drinkability and light pale malt with clean yeastiness.. not the best IPA in the world but no slouch. Given all the GREAT IPA’s in the PNW, this is average... But now flaws either.

Light amber color with a sticky off white head. Orange peel and some pine in the nose. Caramel sweetness with lots of orange peel, tangerine and red grapefruit zest flavors. Sharp, hoppy beer.
