COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Payette Pale Ale is a beer made for the mountain, the river and the local pub. Brewed as an American Pale Ale that is heavy on the hops, the Pale comes through with a touch of caramel sweetness to balance out the hop bitterness. Floral notes dominate the nose, with grapefruit and orange aromas present in the background. After a long day shredding on the mountain or floating the river, kick back and enjoy this fully flavored session beer.

Pours a cloudy amber with short head. Aroma is mild hop with a little malt sweetness. Taste is balanced and appealing. Like this one.

Actually a pretty decent pale, light caramel malt body against mild citrus hops with nice dusty notes.

"Standard apa just about across the board. Caramel sweetness tempered with a slightl blast of citrusy hops. Not enough of them to really take notice though a decent session beer. 2nd time not a charm. Booooring."

Can from Brewforia. Pours orange tinged gold with a white head. Aroma seems mostly floral with citrus backing, and the caramel is hard to find. Med body or nearly. Flavor is rather lush floral and grapefruit. Caramel is present, but hardly noticeable. This is hoppy stuff, but not harshly bitter. Good drink. Especially considering the ABV.

Pours a nice darker amber color with white head. Pine, grapefruit, and caramel malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a little floral hop note.

Hazy tan. The aroma has a touch of diacetyl, light caramels. Earthy, sweetish, no real hop flavour. Tastes a bit yeasty, too.

Can: cloudy copper color with an off-white head. Aroma of pine, musty grass. Flavors of light juniper and dry rubber. Thin body and stuff aftertaste.

Fresh can. Pours muddy orange, slight head. Aroma is floral, orange citrus, lavender. Taste is bitter hop, fishy (I know, odd description...but it is), some honey. Nothing stands out, no real balance.

Type: 12-oz. can Glass: Karl Strauss pint glass From: Whole Foods in Boise, Idaho Price: $8.99 for a mix and match variety 6-pack Purchased: Dec. 19, 2013 Consumed: Dec. 28, 2013 Misc.: N/A Poured an amber orange hazy color with about four fingers of off-white frothy head. An above average amount of sporadic foamy lacing along the sides of the glass. Great retention on the top all the way down. Smelled a pleasant whiff of floral hops up front. Also citrus hops - lemon zest, lime and faint grapefruit. Some grass hops, honey and light vomit late. The smell doesn’t hold as long as I’d hope. Tasted not as much as the smell as I would have thought. More like a pale ale here. Got slightly bitter floral hops, citrus hops - lemon and orange peel, and faint lime and grapefruit. Grassy, honey and wheaty. Medium-to-full body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Soft carbonation. Bitter finish. I really liked this beer. Just a very good pale ale.

Purchased from Albertsons in 12 oz cans. A bit flat. Not much body. A bit medicinal. Decent happiness, but needs more body to balance.
