3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 dimenhetfield (2357) - , Florida, USA - AUG 17, 2012Can poured into snifter. Sent to me as an extra. The aroma is actually pretty damn awesome. Nice orange grapefruit thing happening mixed with a little bit of hops. Flavor is mostly defined by the hops but other then that it’s sort of a regular pale.

On tap at Fedora in CDA, ID. Slightly hazy golden pour with a lacy white head. Not much aroma here, but I’m getting some piney, citrusy nose. Bittersweet flavor. Flavors of pine and catbox. Thin body with soft carbonation. Crisp and refreshing but it’d be better with a bigger body and more carbonation.

This was on draft at Smokey’s at the Brundage Mountain Ski Resort in Idaho. Came in the glass an attractive orange color with a small white head and light lacing. Nose is citrus and floral hops. Medium and body and very smooth of mouthfeel. The flavor is caramel malts with a lot of hop flavor with citrus and a touch of tropical fruit. Very well balanced with some bitterness in the finish. Great session beer and remarkably refreshing .

Man, I’m digging these Payette brews. 12 ounce can. A rich floral hop nose, some biscuit. The flavor is a crisp hop flavor with caramel, light bitterness, very clean and very smooth. This is a tasty hoppy pale ale.

Draft at the brewery’s tasting room. Nice amber orange beer with a decent head. Creamy consistency. An easy drinker to be sure. Light citric character, but mostly just an easy-going "every day" beer. (#4683, 7/8/2012)

Draft @ Legends Pub, Boise. Hazy orange gold with a modest sandy head and lots of lacing. Mild aroma is citrus and florals. What I really like about this pale ale is nothing stands out in the taste; caramel, citrus, and florals are well balanced. Clean and crisp, medium intensity. Went very well with the carne asada tacos.
