Commercial Description:
Dark beer. It has a strong body, dry flavor, given by an excellent balance between sweet malts, roasted malts and hops. You can drink it after the dinner, with raw shellfish (in the Irish tradition), marinated fish; it's also excellent with sweets, fruit cakes and chocolate cakes.

Bottle from a tutta Birra. Very full flavour, toasted malt, some soot, some discreet sweetness. I would not mind another!

Deep dark prown. Toasted and pruney. Whiffs of smoke. Faint chocolate. Not unlike a porter. Hit and Miss.

[166-20061229] 330mL. Sweet Christmas pudding aroma, lightly sour. Dark brown-black body with medium-lasting off-white foamy head. Fairly sour beery apple flavour. Medium body, almost wine-like with an apple feel. Seems overly sour.
