This is an unfiltered Belgian Style Blonde Ale. The beer is blonde in color from the pale malted barley varieties. It is delicately hopped with Styrian Golding and Celeia for medium bitterness and aroma. Sugars are added for higher attenuation, following the practices of some Belgian brewers. Belgian ale yeast is used to add complex flavor esters. This beer is unfiltered and yeast is left in for additional conditioning. The beer is named Fatale because it is 8.5% alcohol by volume and will catch up with you if you’re not careful.

Bottle from Johns. Bright gold with ring. Very sweet sugary aroma with herbs and glue. Very sweet fruit peach apricot with mildly astringent herbal bitter finish. Cloying sugary watery aftertaste. Fine carbo adds to astringency. Just sits there with no head or lace. Sugar added for "higher attenuation" should not make the beer sticky sweet and thick. This is off in every way. Blech.

Slightly hazy gold pour with a thin, white head. Aroma of cereal, bready yeast, grassy hops, toast, spicy hops, and earthy fruit. Flavor is very bready, grassy hops, toast biscuit, banana, apple chips, hay and light mineral notes to the finish. Medium body, slightly oily feel, light, but sharp carbonation. Not bad.

Orange-gold with scant, white head / Fat, clean nose of malo, citrus, and resin / Medium to full body, malty and fruit but very clean, body stands up well to big alcohol, with good balance and dry finish / Big, clean, elegant flavors of fermented orange, pineapple, mango, honey, and resin / Very nice in this big, steely, style.

Bottle. Pours blonde (good work on the name of the beer!) with minimal head. Good belgian to it, bananas and the like. Solid beer, had some good beers from these guys. Thanks RG.

Tasted at the 2013 Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition fest in a mini Willybecher glass. It poured a mostly clear orange-tinged golden colour with moderate white foam and Belgian lace. Grainy, with strong pilsener impression, low-level earthy and pepper notes from hops and yeast. Slight residual sweetness. Nice, mellow, subtly balanced aromas and flavors. Light-medium body, average carbonation, bready mouthfeel, relatively dry finish. Deceptively smooth and drinkable for 8.5% alcohol, warming but otherwise well-concealed. I love the Styrian Goldings and Celeia hops in the deScription but I confess I wouldn’t have been able to identify them at such low dosages. Overall another tasty, well-crafted brew from Peace Tree.

Draft. Clear orange-amber. Aroma is mostly bubblegum. Taste: sweet, bubblegum, light citrus, floral, very little bitterness, maybe a little butter. Palate: full body, slick texture. Overall: needs work. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
