COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison or farmhouse ales were traditionally brewed for the farm laborers in Belgium. To put a local footprint on this Iowa farmhouse ale, local sweet corn is used. Not only is the finest quality malted barley used, but the corn’s stalk too, which is loaded with sugar and flavor. Mild hops and Belgian yeast are used to bring out fruity aromas and earthy flavors

Hazy gold with an off white head. Smells like fancy feast cat food!!! Taste is better, sweet corn, spices, and more fancy feast at the end. Medium body with good carbonation. Yummmm...cat food

Bottle shared by MrPickles...thanks Andy! - Pours pale yellow with no head at all. Nose is lightly spicy, pale malt and a bit of corny graininess. Lightly fruity. Taste is about the same, with some mineral notes, light spice and a long grainy finish. Real interesting in the mouth...kind of sticks to the tongue.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle from pepsiedcan. Thanks! Pours a pale copper color with absolutely no head. Flat...darn. The aroma is corny and sweet. Kinda woody, too. The taste has some heavy corn influence. Interesting beer, just wish it had some carbonation.

12oz bottle thanks to pepsiedcan, pours a hazy gold with a decent white head and spotty lacing, aroma is oddly like cream corn with a little bit of yeast, the flavor has a little bit of fruit on the front end with a crisp finish, a little different but nice.

A pale yellow beer with no head at all. The aroma is fruity, pine, and hay. The flavor is yeasty, corn, some funk, and a bitter finish. Interesting, but hit and miss.

Huge thanks to canihave4beers for this trade extra! Pours a clear pale straw color with little to no head. Aromas of grass, hops, corn and yeast... Is this a Belgian strain? Perhaps. Interesting. Not as dry as I would like in a saison on first sip. The corn sweetness is there, although is is not a "cornucopia" of syrup. This one is a bit strange. A middle of the road American take on a saison.
