COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This brew is for hop huggers. We’ve added over 2-1/2 times the hops of our Hop Wrangler IPA with four varieties of hops in six massive hop additions. With over 1-1/2 times the barley of our normal beers, our grist hopper was nearly overflowing. Fermentation with the same Belgian yeast as our Hop Wrangler IPA rounds out this bold beer.

Bottle thanks to pepsiedcan, Thanks Andy! Golden cloudy pour. Fruits and hops on the nose and in the flavor. The fruits really add to the hops on this one. I like this a lot!

bottle @ John’s Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Hazy dark amber with a generous, long-lasting 2" rocky off-white head, fluffy blobs of lace. Taste is bold malt that exposes a definite burst of milk chocolate as it moves to a strong hoppy ending that drifts through a long finish without losing any of the stuff it started with. A big brew, original, balanced, and great tasting. High recommendations.

Bottle courtesy of iphonephan, thanks! Hazy golden amber color, white edge head. Aroma is very fruity, stone fruit and subtle apples. Taste is bittersweet fruit.

Pours amber with small white head. Aroma is some citrus and tropical fruit with a bit of spruce mixed in. Taste was bitter with grapefruit shining through, but this tasted more like a Belgian than a double IPA.

Shared bottle. Very good DIPA! Interesting blend of citrusy American hops and peppery Belgian yeast. Aroma is of oranges with a peppery background. Very drinkable DIPA that I will continue to seek out while in Iowa.

It was okay. Middle of the road IPA. Good nose and balanced hops but had an overly dry bitter finish.

12oz medicine bottle. Thanks to Iphonephan! March 2014 DC Tasting. Aroma was some chewy malts, nice floral hop notes. Fruity, citrus character. Good, wonderful taste. Nice floral character.

A decent imperial IPA might lack the pop of the well known examples. Even so this down to earth Midwestern draft drinks easily. Loaded with the typical flavors of a malty imperial IPA, the result leaves a memorable presence.

Aroma / Appearance - A hazy golden body with thick icy legs lies in wait. From inside waves of malt, citrus, and resin meet Belgian yeast in a mixture that smells like hop infused cotton candy.

Flavor / Palate - Citrus and resin cling to the tongue. A bitter transition betrays the Belgian aspect. Soon afterwards the warm finish sparkles as it washes over the throat. A nice malt profile helps offset the bitterness. If other Peace Tree beers are this robust then I may have to arrange a road trip.

Tap at Peace Tree brewery. Clear copper with a white head. Nose is a lot of citrus hops and a little malt. Also orange and banana. Like it.

Deep orange/amber color out of the stubby bottle with a lasting sticky off white head. The initial nose was a pine tree forest that settled into a sweet mix of citrus candy and pine. Big syrupy mouth feel. Tons of malt under even more candied grapefruit rind and orange peel. Nicely balanced big hop beer.
