4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle, sent from ekoerper (thanks a lot, Ed), pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Highly aromatic on the nose with tropical fruits, citrus and resinous hops, a bit of Belgian yeast and some caramel malt backing. Flavour is every bit as lovely, with juicy tropical fruits (grapefruit, mango especially), citrus fruits, loads of citrus and resinous hops, and a perfect amount of caramel malt for support. Really wonderful flavours, all working in harmony. Drinks so easily - could drink litres of this stuff. A splendid IIPA that I think deserves higher ratings (even at 96).

Bottle from Johns Grocery. Rich golden amber pour with a white spotty head. Really nice citrus hop aroma. Taste is citrus plus something like mint leaves. Really nice brew!

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bonus bottle from CanIHaveFourBeers. Thanks! strong danky aroma reminiscent of citra. hazy red pout into glass. bottle looked like it was going to gush, but looked funny. Wow, obnoxiously hoppy bitterness and flavor. a bit thin on the mouthfeel with a lingering hop presence that is almost peppermint like. I think the hops are making my eyes water. wow. intensely hoppy.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle shared at Zach & Matt’s tasting. Pours amber gold with soapy white head. Aroma is really big amounts of grapefruit and grass and tropical fruits. Taste is well balanced with notes of pine and citrus juice and pith. Slightly sweet maltiness to balance out the hops. Nice.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cool looking, stubby 12 oz. bottle. Pours a Ice-tea color (not Ice-T, you racist). Aroma of pine, grass, tons of mint, and something different . . . Almost like tea tree oil. Flavor is very bitter, with touches of ice tea, tropical fruit, mild pineapple and toffee. Body is a bit thin, and finish has quite a bit of booze. Otherwise, this is a perfectly acceptable DIPA. Something good from Iowa. Imagine that.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz stubby bottle thanks to jcwatts, thanks John. Poured a very nice looking super burnt orange with an average sized dense beige spongey head. Aroma of old rotting citrus fruit, slight bubble gum, toast and a touch of tea. Fuller bodied with average to slightly strong carbonation and a lingering tingle from the carbonation with a slight touch of alcohol heat. Flavor is a bit better then the aroma with notes of old rotting citrus fruit, Belgian yeast, bread crusts, some tropical fruit rind and perhaps a touch of menthol. Not bad but not sure Belgian yeast is the way to go on a DIPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle:   Burnt orange in color, slight haze, thin foamy off-white head, little lacing.   Noticeable alcohol on the nose.   Otherwise candied citrus peel.   Warming on the tongue.   Seems like lots of caramel maltiness, almost bordering on a Barley Wine.   Fairly malty, yet with an assertive citrus bitterness.   Seems well balanced.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finishes with a heavy hint of alcohol, caramel malt, and citrus peel.   Decent, but a little too much alcohol.
