2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft sample. Copper in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of berry candies, cut grass, and peppery spice. Flavours are of more weird red berries, pale malt and grassy hops. Medium bodied with a lingering chalky bitterness. Didn’t work for me.

12oz bottle 9/29/13 (Hy-Vee Oakland St.)-42° in shaker-Pours a murky orangish amber with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, hops, and malt. Taste of yeast, hops, malt, and citrus. This medium bodied brew is not too shabby.

Backlog of ratings. Thanks to someone at one of bu11zeye’s tastings. The smell is fruits, hops, citrus, and yeast. The look is golden in color with an off white head. The taste is floral, malts, hops, and some bitterness.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Sweet hop aroma. Murky deep amber body. Nice hoppy flavor. Not the best IPA I’ve ever had but not bad.

On tap at GTMW 2013
Another brewery which I visited on a whim this one was a solid IPA. The product is not remarkable enough to compete with the best of the best but if I were ever in Iowa I’d pick up a couple.
Aroma / Appearance - The bronze body sticks to the glass with evidence of carbonation bubbling up from time to time. Grass and bitterness cling in the air with a malt bill gluing it all together. It is not exciting but gets the job done.
Flavor / Palate - A oaky envelope wraps around the bitter mouthfeel. It sits in the background the entire time with various hops peeking up from time to time. There aren’t any massive flaws but it is not enormously exciting either. This is just a run of the mill IPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had it out of bottle. Pours a fizzy big non-lasting head with a sweet aroma and a murky copper hue. The taste is tangy bitter hop.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a cloudy burnt orange with thin head and not much lacing. Aroma is Belgian candy sugar yeast, with some cherry. Taste is more yeast, dusty, musty, and a little stale. Finish is bitter citrus but still feels stale. Palate is terrible as it explodes with carbonation in your mouth. It’s more of a seltzer water sensation if you swallow fast enough, but if you let it linger it expands and ruins everything.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted from a 12oz. bottle. Poured a rich, dark, hazy amber with ample effervescence and a big, bubbly head. Faint aroma of hops and grass. Taste of hops and grapefruit with a bitter finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Murky amber with massive, flotsam, off-white head, fine lacing / Dry, sweet nose of pine, candied sugar, citrus / Medium body, some sugary sweetness, but mostly dry and biting, some astringency but decent fruit balance and bitter finish / Flavors of dry hop, pine, toasty grain, with notes of light caramel, grapefruit, orange / Light fruit, letting the bitter character dominate, but still very nice and fresh flavored.

4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear gold, with big white head. Subdued floral nose, with some citrus and bubblegum. Big carbonation, medium body. Gumball, resin, orange zest, rose petal, hibiscus. As an IPA, this isn’t great, but as a hoppy Belgian Pale or Saison, it’s fantastic! Needs either a recipe change or a label change to be a real winner.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Malt forward ipa. Sweet candi sugar and caramel. Decent hops saves this beer. Ipa equals hops to me , dont get the malt forward ones. Oh well
