3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rusty color pour. Get a lot of belgian yeast on the nose, some citrus. Bitterness of the beer sits on your tongue for a long time after swallowing, but its more finessed than Stones Cali belgie. Not bad

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle from Happy’s, Cedar Falls, June 2014. Orange pour with a small khaki head, June 2014. Mildly hoppy aroma, citrus, doughy malts, biscuity, a bit of fruitiness, orange and grapefruit. Okay flavor, a bit sweet, sugar, orange, biscuity, doughy malts, lemon peel. Not bad.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A- Light, subtle citrus, slight candy, slightly hoppy, grassy, wheat.
A- Orange color, slightly hazy liquid, minimal off white head.
T- Bitter, wheat, spices, grassy.
P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish.
O- I was hoping for a great beer with all the comments of a Belgian White as that is my favorite style. This didn’t quite do it for me. It was like a subtle bad Belgian white mixed with a mediocre IPA. Didn’t seem very balanced and just lacked so much.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Disappointing IPA. This one had some weird spice flavors (almost like a witbier at times) and a lot of grassiness, but not true to the IPA style at all.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Fantastic floral & hop aroma w/ a decent rustic pour w/ a big foamy head. The taste is a little thin & uneventful. Not a dry hopped beer which makes it go down easy but lacks flavor to really make this stand out. Not bad overall!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Red stripe looking bottle, sort of a Belgian wit inspired IPA. Not sure if I’m supposed to be getting those flavors. Meh

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The Belgian yeast really makes this IPA smooth and very drinkable. The Blond Fatale and No Coast IPA are good choices from Peace Tree.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice amber color with white head. Pine, citrus, and some malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes clean.

Nice IPA made with Belgian yeast. Always one of my favorites from Iowa. Hop Sutra also good from same brewery.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle @ John’s Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Clear rich dark amber color (nice!), 2" ivory head that slowly drops to 1/2", strings of lace. Aroma is strong citrus. Taste is mostly citrus on the sip, but big swallows produce a full malty body that mixes with citrus in the palate. Citrus fades before malt for a lingering sweet finish. Good stuff.
