No Coast is a big American IPA with tons of bitterness and loads of hop flavor. A variety of pale malts are used to give this beer a nice golden color and let the Amarillo, Citra and Simcoe hops shine through with big piney and citrus notes. Coming in at 95 IBUs, this beer is sure to show thereís more to beer than just a coast.

12 oz single bottle into a RAGBRAI pint glass, from Hy-Vee in Muscatine. Orange and mostly clear appearance with a fluffy, lasting white head and light lacing. Aroma of citrus hops, pine, tropical fruits, floral notes and some light grassy earthiness as well. Similar flavor, medium plus hop bitterness balanced by a light toasted grain sweetness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a bitter, light dry finish. Solid IPA.

Orange with a white head. Intensely pine and grassy hop resin with a decent amount of candied malt sweetness. The overriding theme of the aroma is fresh. Very intriguing. Full bodied. Flavor has plenty of fresh cut pine and citrus hop notes. Smooth caramel malt sweetness. Sharp bitterness with round malt sweetness in the finish. A very enjoyable IPA. It took me a bit by surprise as it wasnít just a good, run of the mill IPA, but had a nice and a bit unique profile.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2015 Very different hop profile from the one used by the big national craft brewers like Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada. Was very nice to taste this for the first time today, because Iíd thought my taste buds had changed so that I was no longer perceiving this taste, but in fact I just wasnít drinking the right beers to get it (There was a local brewer where I live that brewed something like this, but it was bought out and itís brands were discontinued). This is very bitter and piney taste wise. Very much so. Youíre going to love this if you love bitter and piney. The smell is like walking into a wet forest of pine trees with a nose like a dog where you can smell things at 100x their normal intensity. Some mainstream drinkers may not like it, but if you like dry and bitter and piney, youíll love it. They donít compromise this with sweetness and whatnot. Pour is a nice bright gold, but a gold with some substance, I can just barely see my fingers through it as very pale shadows when I place them on the other side of the glass. They are definitely doing their own thing here and making a beer for a very particular type of IPA drinker, and if you fit the niche, youíll love it. I notice this review really doesnít jibe with the other reviews, but thatís why we do a composite rating and have individual reviews, right?

Poured from bottle into pint glass. Thick chunky head that slowly dissipated. Nice inviting citrus hops aroma. Easy drinking and well made. It doesn't have quite the hop punch as some if the beers it might be inspired by, but I think that's a good thing as I'm pretty down on hop bombs these days. That said, the malt comes off a tad strong to me and the body is a bit thin. It's not the best beer I've ever had, but it's easily the best thing I've had from peace tree.

Awesome aromas of tropical hops, a little pine and some melon. Pure gold pour. Taste is bitter hops and a light swish of malt. Bubbly and refreshing.

Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of bread, earthiness, lemon zest and light grapefruit. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, earthiness, grapefruit and light pine with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Lightly hazy, copper gold color, frothy white head. Mild aroma of citrus and peach, floral and caramel malt. A bit herbal but mostly pine bitterness. Good amount of carb, almost medium-bodied, and astringent. Long resinous finish

Aroma is very dank hops and hints of pine and citrus. The flavor is hops/hop resin, grapefruit, citrus, a back ground of malts/fruit and a very dry/medium bitter finish.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of white fruit, dank, weedy, pine, resinous notes into some orange, grapefruit, touch of onion in there as well. Taste is a mix of onion, grass, biscuit, bread, nice orange, pineapple, hints of white fruits, finishing fairly bitter but not overwhelming.
