COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is brewed with pale malted barley giving the appearance of a golden pilsner style lager. It is actually brewed with a top fermenting ale yeast at cooler temperatures of a lager, giving a unique and refreshing character. This style is commonly filtered, we prefer to leave this beer unfiltered like a Kellerbier. Kolsch is actually a beer brewed in Cologne, Germany which is why we use the word “style”.

Gold pour with a quick white head aroma is very nice grassy hop and clean graininess. Flavor is mildly sweet grains, some fruitiness going on and grassy hop. Light bitterness. Very tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured a clear gold with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of straw, yeast and a hint of earthiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, yeast and light fruitiness with a crisp dry finish.

12oz can 9/28/13 (Hy-Vee Oakland St. Cedar Rapids)-Pours a slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, grains, and malts. Taste of the same. This light bodied brew is not my favorite style but this was rather tasty.

Pours a clear gold with almost no head. Aromas of straw and lemon. Taste is slightly sweet, no perceptible bitterness. Flavors of light lemons and some wet straw. Very uninspired. Would not drink again.

Tap. Light gold . Subtle aroma. Nice malty sweetness. Easy to drink. Solid, not extraordinary, like many in this style.

Can. Slightly hazy bold yellow pour with a nice foamy white head. Nice aroma of light fruit, wheat, mild perfume, and a little grassiness. Lighter palate that is a bit crisp. Easy drinking flavor. Seems very well made to me.

Yellow with quick-diminishing. Hard water, sweet malt on the nose. Fairly creamy, notes of sweet malt and some muted grassy hops. Fair. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a can. Smell malt bread Dough. Pour yellow with White head. Taste malt, Yeast banana mild bitterness at the end. Has a little spice to it and has some hops notes. This is a traditional Kölsch style beer.

Pours a very pale gold with good head and lacing. Aroma is yeast and a little spice. Taste is true to the aroma, disappearing quickly. Refreshing cold in that regard, but not a lot of substance. Although not my favorite style of beer, this was drinkable and really sessionable.
