highlandlad (1187), Sydney, Australia Oct 30, 2005 You know you have a RateBeer addiction when you walk into a beer store, look at a bottle like this, think to yourself, "Geez, that looks like shit..." And buy it anyway... Plus the other two in the range. Okay, so this is ratings whoredom at its worst. This poured bright gold with a thin rim of foam. Mind you, these things aren’t really meant to be poured - they’re basically alcopops aimed at sweet-toothed teenagers who will drink from the garish bottle (sheathed in LOUD attention-grabbing peach coloured plastic). The aroma is canned peach syrup, with nary a trace of malt or hop. It has a sherbety spritz on the tongue, followed by a sticky, sickly sugar rush. The contents include flavourings and food acid but... er... no peach. The label declares that the bottle contains "Flavour Infused Beer". Um, theoretically aren’t all beers flavour infused? There are some honey notes competing with the flavourings but they can’t compensate for that nasty metallic chemical bite that creeps in. The fact this failed to find a market offers hope to all of us who value quality above marketing. (330ml bottle, Amatos, bb 21/2/05) Ol_Juntan_64 (1267), Perth, Australia Jan 13, 2004 Like the citrus hopper only peach flavour is more artificial and sweeter than ever and not at all subtle. My question is Why? Leopard_Man (53), New Zealand Jan 7, 2004 Slightly better than the Berry Hopper...but then again, I prefer Peach flavours to whatever they put in the Berry Hopper.
I'll have it again. Cheaply made crap.
