UPDATED: MAY 14, 2013 The copper-coloured Peak Organic Amber Ale, like all Peak brews a truly organic beer. It’s Crystal Malt gives it a fresh and slightly sweet taste, as you would expect from an amber ale, followed by toasty after taste from Munich Malt. All this malt makes a very full and rich beer, even a bit ’’bready’’. Not one you could drink all night.

Bottle. Pretty boring amber ale. If you are looking for a mid priced amber this is not a terrible choice.

12oz bottle. Pours a medium amber color. Light caramel notes with a bit of a toasted flavor. I thought this beer only okay and found myself going for other beers in my fridge instead of this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Low key aroma of caramel, roasted nuts and such. Clear dark orange color, fairly still. Taste is heavy on the caramel malt and light on the hopping, and the whole beer has a peaty feel about it. Body is still on the lighter side, though not without a cola type bite. Nothing much to see here.

Oat, oak, nut, malt, and some hop. Great brown color and excellent head. Taste it oak and oat some malt. Thin body.

Aroma: Kind of a dull nose, light malts, a little nuts, some caramel
Appearance: Clear caramel-orange color, small head, medium-plus lace
Flavor: The flavor, like the nose is kind dull, it has a ight malty flavor
Palate: This beer has a fairly light body, a somewhat creamy feel, and average carbonation
Overall Impression: Not very impressive. The nose and flavor are both fine, malty, and boring. Don’t rush out to try this one.

355ml bottle. Amber pour, looks pretty filtered, moderate off-white head. Not much aroma, some caramel malts and a little toast. Taste has some light hopping, caramel malts and a little roastiness. Palate and taste were a little thin, but not overly watery. Overall, this is not a bad stepping stone from drinking macros to craft beer. It is pleasant and approachable.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a nice amber color with the occasional small bubble rising up to a tight head of off white foam. The nose has light caramel and toast notes with a touch of old paper. The flavor has bit of toast, caramel apple, and slightly vegetal bitterness. Medium bodied with a crisp, dry finish. I’ve certainly had worse. This is actually pretty serviceable.

Translucent amber/tan hue with small white head, excellent retention. Bready malt nose. Caramel and flower mix on the palate. Medium body.

4/14/12. 12oz bottle. Hazy light amber pour with a thick, frothy, khaki head that reminds me of a nitro head. Cuts down fast but sticks a long time and laces a ton. Plain aroma with some bread and burnt caramel along with a touch of metal. Similar plain flavor with a touch of toasted bread, more caramel, and just a hint of roast along with the metallic aspect. Meh.
