3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
06-Nov-07 (12-oz bottle, Best Enjoyed Before July, 2007: Purchased 15-Jun-07 at BevMo in La Jolla, CA) A few months past expiration, but it’s been stored at 40 degrees, and it’s tasting great. Toasty, lightly earthy, and quite malty early on, then balanced by moderately bitter and citrusy hops toward the finish. Nice, clean finish. Balanced approach in the nose too, with toasty malts and earthy hops. Medium in body with standard carbonation levels. Deep, ruddy-amber in color with excellent clarity. The light-tan head pours small, less than half an inch, but takes several minutes to settle to a wide ring. Lacing is minimal, just a few spots here and there. Even though the label states, "delicious organic beer," this was still unexpectedly tasty. Peak Brewing does seem to have a knack for making organic beer that not only tastes good, but doesn’t have that signature grainy earthiness of organic beers.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a nice amber color with the occasional small bubble rising up to a tight head of off white foam. The nose has light caramel and toast notes with a touch of old paper. The flavor has bit of toast, caramel apple, and slightly vegetal bitterness. Medium bodied with a crisp, dry finish. I’ve certainly had worse. This is actually pretty serviceable.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
not exactly what I am looking for i na amber ale, it pours and looks very clean. there is a harsh sense of hoppy malt flavor at the start and it goes all the way through. has got all the right components but the end product is not worth it.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2009 12oz bottle (Binny’s Naperville)-Pours a light to medium amber with a nice tight off white head. Aroma of hops, malt, and caramel. Taste of malt, caramel, sweetness, and a little bit of nut. This medium bodied brew is quite tasty and fairly balanced. Pretty tasty.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
0.355l bottle @ The Duck, NYC. Blurry, deep champagne brown, small islandy off-white. Buttery, caramel. Smells kinda oldish, bitter scotch and diabetes(!?). Bah. Taste a bit better luckily. Sweet really malty. Amber malts and it’s in a way like drinking a soft biscuit cake. Grows on you, but not all that to be honest. Think this is a old bottle. 21.06.2013

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Blah. I did not really like this. Aroma was weak but smelled like dirt mostly with a window cleaner in there as well. Pour was the best thing about this beer. Nice amber color with a huge pillowy 3finger tan head. Taste was weak. Light caramel malt with not much else going on. Not looking forward to the other 2 in the fridge.

12oz bottle poured into snifter. I after seeing people taste this and their faces filled with utter disgust I wasn’t too sure I wanted to try it, but decided to anyway. This was just god awful. Terrible aroma and flavor, stay away.
