Appearance: Pours out a lightly hazed, amber-brown body with a large, frothy, off-white head. Tiny flecks of lace left on the way down.
Smell: Pleasantly toasty nose with some additional sweet-scented hints from the malts. Light notes of harvest fruit interspersed within. Fragrant, zesty spicy hop scents as well.
Taste: Largely, you get the nicely toasty taste of Munich malt sweetened with a moderate amount of Crystal malts and a small hint of light brown sugar. Slight background fruitiness. Some buttery diacetyl as well. Hops provide a lil’ zip of spiciness and earthiness and a light, balancing bitterness. Drying finish with a lingering toasty quality to it all.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: This mainly malty amber pairs oh so well with a mid-day Monday episode of the Maury show. Peak Organic Amber Ale... you are NOT the Father, but you are a pretty decent beer. daknole (2935), Plantation, Florida, USA

The nose wafts sweet notes of cookie, English biscuit and praline. Medium-bodied with stinging carbonation. The flavor is sweet, nutty and toasted. Crisp, lightly bitter, dry finish. beerbill (1949), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 1, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a mostly clear amber with a large, fluffy off-white head that dissipates somewhat unevenly. Light aroma of caramel and that’s about it. The flavor is caramel and lightly roasted malt. Light sweetness. Medium bitterness at the finish. No problems here. coldbrewky (726), Saugerties, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 30, 2009 Bottle via the "Beer Gnome" at work. My humble thanks. Pours on the brown side of amber with a thin oily tannish head. Light nose of caramel and whispy pine. Body is on the heavy side of light. Similar caramel tones from nose exist in this overly sweet brew. Some funky charcoalish tang at edges throws the whole train off the track. On the up side, this beer provided the entire visual gambit of lacing. Dense and intricate to webby and clinging. oteyj (757), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 26, 2009 Reddish brown pour with one finger white head that dissipates rather quickly. Aroma is toasty with toffee caramel and some toast. Fruity esters are evident. Flavor is caramel malt- lots of sweetness with hints of roast. Palate is medium finishing quite clean. Decent but a little below average.
